Food/Cooking

I seriously think I stared at those for about 5 minutes.

rupps can make some great looking/tasting burgers too. He took a cheese brick and sliced it thick and lettuce and tomato and ranch. Good enough I remember em.

You guys see the new Applebee's ad with their quesadilla burgers?

Wow scaldiddog! First time in a long time my mouth started watering looking at a picture!

Going to do a custom kitchen remodel in a month or so. Right now kicking around ideas and placing appliances.

Here is the newest setup for the appliances. My kitchen is small so every inch counts.

Those burgers are mouth watering!! And dobies are awesome dogs.

I made spaghetti with meat sauce tonight, I honestly can't think of any pasta that I don't like.

I found a few extra coins in my pocket today, so I went food shopping. I treated myself to a nice 2" thick slab-o-cow, boneless rib.

I'm getting better at the sideways steak cooking and the brown rice is finally under control!

Money well spent, I'll get at least 2 more meals form this.

Reached a goal of being able to pick up a carrot crust pizza! This pizza is 10", about 3/8" thick and 830 calories for the whole thing.

Italian hot sausage with all the spices....garlic toast and my favorite onion/blackpepper scrambled eggs with hot sauce over the entire shebang.

I make tons of weird foods. I get the ideas from my work(Facebook)..lol.

Sent from a whiskey downer beer pounder's shop

Last week I made some fried chicken legs wrapped in bacon. Dredge the legs in milk/egg then shake in a bag with "Fryin Magic" then wrap in bacon. Cook 20 minutes in the oven at 400 flip and cook another 20. Nom.

Trying out the new Weber. Honey glazed chicken, Jalapeno & cheese sausage, zucchini & squash with grilled potato rolls.

Arroz con Leche y Pasas Blancas:
1 cup white rice
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 can evaporated milk
1 cup whole milk
White raisins
Cinnamon

Cook the rice until tender and remove excess water.
Stir in the 3 types of milk. Continuously stir mixture. Heat to boiling and reduce heat to medium high. Cook until mixture is thick (~20 mins). Pour into large dish. Mix in raisins and top with cinnamon.

I have used all kinds of fruit in this dish....apple slices, pineapple slices, mango, kiwi. Whatever blows your skirt up.

^ That is called 'Kheer' in India. There are many types and it tastes yummy. My personal favorite is Sevai kheer means Vermicelli kheer.

Yeah, that dish is made by lots of different cultures. My German immigrant grandmother taught me to make it...with a slight variation. Eastern Asians make a version as well.....

Next time I hit up the Indian joint down the street, I'll ask them to make some for me and try out that version."thumbsup"
