Food/Cooking

I may be a purist but personally I think pellet smokers are cheating. Theres just something about picking out your own wood cutting and soaking and tending fire with a cold beverage.

I completely agree, it is cheating to some degree... Though I don't have a supply of wood nor the time to manage a fire three to four times a week. It was a better option than a propane or electric smoker IMO.

I have it scheduled to be delivered tomorrow and I will get to breaking it in ASAP. Thinking I might do some bacon and some wings to get her going since I won't have a full day to smoke on it.

She Pours Egg Into The Waffle Iron. Seconds Later? I

I mean yeah, after owning various non-stick indoor grill item thingies common sense tells you that you could cook just about any thing in these contraptions, but seeing it still makes me

Here is Szczerba's Pancake Hippy Bro™ recipe. It probably needs more egg action to be waffle-able.

Ingredients
*Makes 6 pancakes.

2 eggs
1 banana
3/4 cup oats
½ cup unsweetened applesauce (I use a 4oz applesauce cup)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp cinnamon

Directions
]1. Combine all ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth (about 30 seconds)
2.Pour onto a lightly greased griddle or griddle pan (I use a very small amount of real, unsalted butter)
3.Cook until lightly brown on both sides

4. Drizzle with 1 tsp of 100% pure maple syrup (optional- my daughter eats them plain and loves them- I’ve made them 2 days in a row!) or Agave Nectar
Bonus
Add your favorite fruit (blueberries, strawberries, peaches, etc) or dark chocolate chips to the batter when the pancakes are on the griddle for an extra "sweet" start to your morning!

^^ i threw some blueberries in the mix a few weeks ago and laddled on the Agave Nectar. A little different pancake setup but a good way to mix it up errynow and then.

What's the pipe bomb looking thing?

Did the bacon drip all over the wings?

It's called A-MAZE-N-TUBE-SMOKER. You can use it to add additional smoke or for cold smoking.

A-MAZE-N-TUBE-SMOKER 6", 12" or 18"

I had hickory pellets in the main hopper and then filled the tube with apple pellets. You torch it on one end to get it going.

And yes, the bacon did drip some on to the wings which was my intention.

Off of that link I found Joe to make clean mint chocolate chip ice cream. I have already been making banana ice cream in vanilla and chocolate, but mint chocolate chip is my favorite.

Clean Eating Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream (Made From Bananas): https://youtu.be/-7NfrcZrk-Y

It does help to freeze your bananas after they have been cut up into 1" sections instead of whole. She would not have blending problems if she did that...

Though that leak in the upper right doesn't look very shepard's pie like. :afro:

They are made with bbq pork instead of ground cow or lamb.

1.25# of sweet potato makes 4 waffles in the deep waffle maker. My best results were with the waffle maker at 50% power and 6 minutes. 7 Minutes may be better. Only used 1.5 tbs of coconut oil. Apple sauce was ehhh, maple syrup was[emoji39]
