I really like the color, and the black hood is a great idea"thumbsup"
the space between the cab and the bed is pretty tight, so I don't have alot of room to move and once the interior is done its going to even tighter. The nose is up a bit, the front body post is a tad too long since I lowered the rest of the body posts. its aluminum and I need to do some sanding but ran out of time:mrgreen:Really like the body mount through the back cab wall, really clean and pretty stealth"thumbsup" 3 body pins doesn't sound to tough to get the cab off of a hardbody rig...beats having to use a hexdriver or a screwdriver:ror:
Is it just me or does the truck have it's nose up in the air a touch?

took me a couple tries to envision what you are saying, and I think I could, and I may do something like that at some point once I get the Steel bed farther along and permanently mounted. Was wondering if you could put a "tab" on the cage where the cab meets up and run one of those body mounts like you used for the front hood mount (hilift mount) and put the body clips to the inside of the back wall. Pull the front clip, reach under the back wall and pull those 2 clips and the body pulls off forward away from the cage.
Does that make sense??...it's late, I've had more than a few to drink and I'm waaayyy tired. Good night.
what kind of beadlocks are those? those things are sweet!
Nice rig too of course!"thumbsup""thumbsup""thumbsup"
Thanks.. I've missed driving it, and I'm itching to get the interior done and the bed finished so I can get back to hammering on it:mrgreen:Lookin' sweet so far!"thumbsup"
thankscool thread.
A lot of guys build a bed out of styrene and fit it up under the lexan bed, the styrene is very easy to work with, if you have a local hobby shop that supples styrene and a good cement you should be set. I tend to freeform everything which can cause problems if your doing complicated things, I have to force my self to stop and do it right. It pays off in the end though so be patient with it. start small and practice so you can get a feel for how the styrene forms and holds shapes, how the cement bonds, and how filler and sanding affect your work.I have been reading this thread for the past week or so and I have read and seen everything. I must say, hats off man you are pretty dang talented. I liked how you made the truck an extended cab awesome work. And the frame bed is just incredible. I actually was curious, in your opinion, what would be the best material to use if I wanted to drop the bed down on a lexan body truck? I know you used styrene on your truck. could I use that with lexan or do they make like a plastic product I could use? If you gave me the name of a product I could do the research on how to work with it. Any advice would be AWESOME!!! Thanks!!"thumbsup"
Practice makes perfect, glad I could help. I wish My lowes had styrene. Thanks for the advice. My GF works at lowes and gets a discount so I am gonna check there first for the styrene and maybe the cement. I am going to get a ton of it and just go to town practicing. I am running the stock axial cf-100 body for now but when i put my ford body on I want it to be right. I have all the tools and stuff cuz i am a mechanic. I will see what I can do. Thanks again I really am greatful and KEEP UP THE AWESOME WORK!!!
They are Darksoul's OMF 1.9 scale offset wheels. they are the look as his comp wheels but a little narrower offset and the back ring is shaved for clearance.
Thanks for the props"thumbsup"
