Chevotafun's Bullied Sudu Pro

WooooHoooo
My Team Brood Nexus motor are at home waiting for me "thumbsup"

So it look like a axle tear down will be in order this weekend to get my D-Lux Knuckle and Ofna shaft on and of course the new motors installed.:twisted:

Wonder how much weight will be shed after drilling out the diffs and installing them tiny little motors.:mrgreen::mrgreen:

That's awesome. I am interested in seeing what the new motors are like as I am a brood fan. I am pondering a new chassis but might wait till next year. We will see as it cost a lot to get the sporty up and going. Will be changing the sporty chassis next year for sure. Congrats on all the new fun pieces. It's like Christmas.

Well guys the motors were there at home when I got there and quickly grabbed the box and ran downstairs to see.

After opening the boxes my eyes just about popped out of my head, I could not believe how small they really were.:shock::shock:

1-opening the box
2-Brood Nexus compared to the Holmes puller 500
3-Nexus Motor weight
4-Starting Truck Weight
5-Weight After rear diff was drilled out
6-Final weight after both diff drills out and New Nexus motors installed.

Also Attempted to get the D-lux knuckle on but had some issue's with that, So they got left off for now.:evil::evil:
Got my brother coming by this week and we'll see if we can get them sorted out and onto my truck. "thumbsup"

The crappy thing is after the motors were installed one ESC is acting up and doesn't want to calibrate now
If I can't get it to calibrate I will be going back to the mini sidewinders.

I will look into that and the D-lux Knuckles this week and try and get both of those things sorted out.:roll:

Got the Esc all sorted out, some how the controller setting got screwed up.:roll:

So after screwing with that and the D-lux knuckles for a bit, I decided to put in acouple batteries to see how them new Brood Nexus motors were.

And well not totally sold on them, they got some sweet power but not liking the start up on them.

The motors are alittle jumpy on start up.:evil:
Going to play with the throttle setting to see if I can make them as smooth as the holmes motors were.

If I can't the Holmes motors will be going back in, as I would rather have a nice smooth start up than the power.

So what's the latest and greatest on these motors??? Did you get the jumpy start up all figured out?

Got it alittle better but still nowhere near as smooth as the Holmes were.
Rear motor still not right, front is cutting out when it gets in a tight spot.
Going to hook them up to the castle link to see if I can smooth them out that way, and see if I can correct the other 2 issue's at the same time and if that doesn't work the sidewinders are going back in.

I noticed yesterday when doing some testing, the front motor was getting warm, and the esc's were getting hotter than normal.:evil:
So i'm thinking there is something wrong with the front motor's esc to make the motor get warm or there is some binding or the mess is off, but the diff case is not getting warm.

So at this point i'm kinda lost, but i'm pretty sure it has something to do with the esc's.
Only time will tell :roll::roll:

Hey Guys we had a comp yesterday and the first comp with the new Brood Nexus motors and let just say the day was a disaster.

Rear motor keep cutting out the front was stalling out then the pinion fell off on the 3rd run.:roll:
Just about took the motors out and smashed the crap out of them with a hammer.:evil:

Sorry had to vent there as I was so pissed yesterday after the comp.
Oh well life goes on and i'm sure we will figure this out.

Having the worst time getting these motors set up right.
Put the sidewinders in and there doing the same as the BR mini's were.

My brother isn't having much luck with his either.

Going to do some more testing as it shouldn't be the motors.

Finish last for the first time  :evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil:

Thank you RC4WD and DravTech for you great products "thumbsup"

Sounds like other things at play here rather than the motors. Brood motors undo pinion screws, good to know. :ror:

What size pinion?

What turn motor?

Yes sir it has to be something stupid that i'm over looking.
I know it can't be the motors, As everyone else seems to be having no issue's, back to the drawing broad lol,

Yup they do, lock tight and everything lol
14t pinion
Brood Nexus 16t CVR

Going to play with the throttle curve some more and if that doesn't do new electric's will be in order.
