Don't worry, I'm going to drive it :mrgreen: The body is ready for primer now so all I need is some free time to paint.
This defender looks amazing! 
i love how low it sits! and the colour and the bumper.... everything is spot on! perfect! even the tire choice, either your extremely lucky with your chose in product or you've done some serious research! lol

Thanks so much! If you're talking about the pics of it outside on the bricks, it was low from the lack of shocks on it. lol Otherwise, the most recent shots show what I'm going for "thumbsup". I've done a lot of homework on this one. Trying to make it look like it came straight from the dealership, but with a few accessories. :mrgreen:

Just a small update. I've realized that with the current outside temps ~40* F, I probably won't be able to paint the body soon without the risk of clouding. Unless I can get a small heater for my garage, I probably won't be painting the body very soon. But that doesn't mean I can't run with an unfinished body! The chassis is ready. The Axial shocks are doing their job, Dirt Grabbers look great, and I even put on some Little Nova soft foams in them. Other than paint I'm only waiting on some LEDs for the bumper lights. Maybe I can get a run in with some pictures this weekend. "thumbsup"

The other evening I had some spare time to take the D90 outside! I turned a big pile of snow into a series of switchbacks. The D90 did surprisingly well with the Dirt Grabbers. I'm really hoping for a warm day to paint soon.

Finally I was able to get a lot of work done today on the D90!
I decided to fill the re-routed exhaust hole so I can make a normal exhaust with some steel tubing. And it was nice and warm today (~55*) so I got some paint work done. :mrgreen: It's primed and colored, but I ran out of daylight and warm air temps to put on the clear coat. If it's warm tomorrow I may do that. I'm really happy with how it came out today, especially for being my first hard body.

Chris, once the paint is finished and fully cured, I will drive it all the time! And I guess when I was picking the gray I didn't notice the Dark Shadow Gray. If you paint your boat with it I'd like to compare them haha

Thanks! I used Duplicolor Sandable Primer and Duplicolor Perfect Match Dark Metallic Grey (GM). Next up will be Duplicolor Clear. "thumbsup"

Looks sick, you think the clear coat would keep on my blue coat if I layered it on there? (just curious)

Thanks! If you mean protect your blue coat, then yes. It will be the first thing scratched off. If you don't want a glossy finish, I've used Tamiya's flat clear paint and I really like it. They have the TS-80 Lacquer for plastic bodies and TS-55 for lexan bodies. Hope that helps. "thumbsup"

Outside temps were in the low 40's today but I decided to shoot the clear anyway (in garage). I sat the body in front of the pellet stove between coats to warm it up and help the clear dry faster. It looks the same as before, but it is clear coated. In a couple of weeks when it's cured, I'll begin the wetsanding, polishing, and waxing. After that it's just adding the windows and other details... and maybe making a rollcage and roof rack! :mrgreen:

Hey do you have any idea where I can get those mounting posts on the sides of the chassis? (for the side steps)
