cbp27's Class 3 JK Build

I guess you forgot to tell me you bought shocks lol. Nice score!

Wanted to surprise you with something for once haha

I have some of those mini geocache containers (for caching) I may have to use one for something in my YJ build. Really nice Jeep man I love all the stuff. I can't wait to see the tube work.

Thanks! I think those little containers add a nice touch. I can't wait to see the tube work too!

Progress on tubework"thumbsup"

He's got alot of clones:lmao:

That's awesome! :lmao: They must've been separated at birth lol
Good choice though "thumbsup"

Super nice tube work on the top! Looks like a spider web. Should be a very cool build. Great work again Trenton.

Question: What scale is your little man? Looking for one for a build I'll be doing, but not sure what the scale to use.

Not sure about scale but he is 7 inches tall. Some might consider the Pro-Line Jeep Wrangler body a little bigger than 1/10th scale (closer to 1/8th) so I think he'll fit well. I've seen a lot of 6-7" figures used on here, which work well. Hope that helps "thumbsup"

Simply stunning "thumbsup"

Well put!

Got Clay's frame primed and painted. Just a quick mock up now, but we'll finish it tonight "thumbsup"

Trenton, AWESOME work!

I'm so glad the quick shipping worked out"thumbsup" and wow you got that painted quickly.

Trying to get ready for the comp on Sunday. I am holding my breath that my motor can and ESC will arrive tomorrow. I want to have a Jeep to Jeep face off. By the way it is really looking sweet.

Thanks guys! Trenton, I can't thank you enough for the awesome work you did! "thumbsup"

I got my Jeep last Thursday, which gave me enough time to work on it with the help of Chris, before Saturday's comp. While setting up the electronics we discovered the Sidewinder finally died so I had to run to the lhs to pick up a V2 Sidewinder.
The comp turned out okay and I got to learn a lot about my new setup. Unfortuneatly when we were setting up one of the courses I stepped on a ground wasp nest. Chris was right beside me so we both ran, still being attacked. He got bit a handful of times but I got the full brunt of the attack. We survived though lol The next day my ankle, leg, and eye lid swelled up a lot but it's much better now. "thumbsup"

The Pro-Line springs were way too soft, so Chris later gave me some Yeah Racing medium rate shocks which turned out perfect. My old 2S lipos just couldn't supply enough power, so I'll be upgrading to 3S very soon. The track width was pretty wide at 10.75" and I think the wheelbase is around 11.5". I took out the red Junfac wideners and flipped the CAC wheels to their wide setting reducing the track width to 10.25". During the comp I also blew one of those rod ends on the black front upper links and I lost steering. Fixed it to finish, but I swapped them with the thicker Traxxas links.

Today I got to go out with Chris and John (Jslick) to St. Peters for a trail run and we had a great time! My Jeep was performing much better than at the comp with the different settings and I'm still learning from it. We were too busy driving to bother with pictures, but I managed to take some at the comp. I'll try posting some more later.
