cboggs' 5th D Sucker Punch

I put on some Icon shocks with 30wt. oil, MRC silver springs and a Axial plastic rod end ball inside the shock for limiting. Also painted up a new body with a new color scheme. Final weight on this came out to 3#15oz.

and a pic with the pro car...

Looking really good Chris!!!! Your rigs are always so clean. I like it"thumbsup"

Lets see if we can get that body all banged up at the finale this weekend. You and I got a battle for second to deal with. :x

Im sure this body will be all cracked up by the end of this weekend, I wish they made it a little thicker so it would last.

Congrats on your 2nd place finish this season with the club. Next season will be as fun as this one was for sure...another tight points race. "thumbsup"

Thanks Dan, it was a close one between us thats for sure. With the wheel destruction on coarse one I was just happy to finish that coarse. Everything else on the car still worked great including the sway bar, but I may try the slightly lighter spring on that like you had. And congrats on your 3rd place finish for the season."thumbsup"

So here's the only pic I got at our season finale, I finished 2nd for the season, video will be posted by Todd (Rockslyder) at some point when he gets time to go through them all. I did break a wheel at this comp falling on it just right to snap two of the three spokes but was still able to drive half the coarse and finish. Im sure it would have happened to any lightweight wheel and besides this one time they have lasted all season including Nats last year. Thanks to Travis at the 5th Dimension for your support all season and Brood for another great motor that still runs like new, can't beat that Brood power!"thumbsup"

Congrats on the second place Chris.

Hopefully them crazy canucks didn't throw you guys off your game? lol

Sound like the guys had a blast down with you guys "thumbsup"

By looking at the scores it looks like they both crapped the bed in moa and Kyle did ok in sportsman. "thumbsup"
It must of been the truck he was using. LOL

It was a good time, we're glad Bob and Kyle made it down for the comp. Hopefully we'll see more of you guys. Bob and you both have some good looking sporties."thumbsup"

Thanks for the compliment Chris."thumbsup"
I'm glad the truck worked well for Kyle.

Yes I hope some more of us can make down to more of your comps :)
And hopefully acouple of you can make it up here for a comp or 2 "thumbsup"

Here's some video from our series finale. I did manage to break a wheel, but I did keep running and finished the first coarse.

Well, after a year of abuse, I guess I can't be totally heartbroken about the wheel failure.

I really do like how the video title says "explicit language" :ror:

Best part that wasnt in that video was on the next gate the broken wheel wobbled around a gate without hitting it where everyone else was. Good times there boggs.

Both your trucks worked very well, Chris, despite the wheel mishap. "thumbsup"
We were both thrilled to join you fellas at Steamboat and appreciate the patience you all showed.

A year of abuse and I still could finish the coarse. If I didn't have an extra wheel I would have just bent it back straight and continued on."thumbsup"

It was good having you guys and look forward to hanging out with you all again soon."thumbsup"

Broken wheels means its time for some new shoes. Thanks to Erik here are my new Dlux wheels in white G10, CF back ring and .75 plastic spacers. This set up gives me a 10.75" width up front and 10.5" width in the rear. "thumbsup"
