Attn: NEWBIES POST HERE<<<<<<

I'm Ian, been lurking for a while, finally bought a Wraith and registered, now it looks like I'm going to build an MOA rig. This does feel like a Crawlers Anonymous meeting. It is some sort of addiction, for sure. I'm from Western North Carolina.

Im into rock racers and Truggies, I bought the clods to make some bigger crawlers and to have a tow vehicle for the wraiths.

Hey Everyone,

My name is Philippe and I live in San Diego. I'm not new to RC. I've got a couple of SC's and a Nitro Monster Truck. However, I'm new to Crawling. Actually, I don't even have a crawler yet. Nor have I ever driven one before. Hahah. I'll probably be getting one after my wedding, late September.

Right now, just checking out the boards, read up on people's experiences, etc.

Just thought I'd introduce myself.

Hey all,

I'm from Langley, B.C. and inherited a handful of RC vehicle's from a great man who had passed away. The only 4x4 I have is a TXT-1 and I am considering modifying it for a bit of climbing. This site has been very useful.

I do need some help though. I caught the bug and want to invest in a sweet MOA 2.2 rock crawler. I tried to post a new topic but its been a couple days and no success? Perhaps its because I'm new. Anyway, I will ask a question:

I've been researching quite a bit because of this very helpful website. But....it seems like some of the rock crawler info is a little dated. For example, It appears that everyone seems to think the Berg and the Bully are great rigs....but, I can't find any information on the new versions of these. It seems like the other fairly nice option (albeit, not as well liked apparently) is the XR10. It sounds like its discontinued and so are the old Berg's and Bully's. Does anyone have any information on current and available top end RC crawlers? I see the new Berg appears to be the Enroute V3 and there also appears to be a newer version Bully.

Can someone please help me with this? I know there is a ton of info here but I just want the experts to chime in on your opinions of the newest, freshly available high end models.

Thanks everyone.

Cheers,

Adam

New guy here, I am looking to get or build a scale crawler and found this website. I raced 1/12 scale on road cars back in the very early 1980s and had a Sand Scorcher as well but have not had an RC car since the late 80s. Looking for info on what brand / model to get or stay away from.

Hi all I am a newbies, My name is Chris, my son (Colton) are new to the rock crawlers, we have 2 stock Axial xr10s, I have not been in RC stuff sent the 80s. We live in Gilbert AZ.
Looking forward to getting out and playing with you all, maybe 1:1 also.

Howdy! New to crawlers, but not to RC. Recently got back into it, and have been expanding the stable of my original vintage kits & SCT's. I spend a lot of time on the road for work, and at least one or two rigs travel with me. Started gaining an interest in crawlers, after seeing some Ultra4/WREXO type builds. They seem to be the best "jack of all trades" rigs, especially for the various areas I travel to.

Looking forward to learning more, and meeting some of you out along the trails!

Hello everyone. Have been racing sc and truggy for a few years. Bought a wraith with plans to modify . Some of the craftsmanship I've seen on this forum is unbelievable.

What's my fellow newbs names Arik and I'm getting some crawling done out in Charleston , SC. Nice to meet all of y'all and hope everyone is tearing up the rocks.

I'm running a chopped up Chevy Ridgecrest to turn into my crawler , supposed get my honcho in this week... can't wait to start that project.

hope all is well out in the crawling world.

Hello all, I'm new to this forum. My name is John T. I'm from Idaho. My son and i both have summits that we run around in the hills with. I'm looking at the scx10 axial honcho i think scale is the way to go also here to learn.

Hi everyone,

I'm new here! (Why does it feel like i'm in one of those therapy groups or 12 step programs saying that?!)

I'm in Asheville, NC area.

My last RC vehicle was a Kyosho Sand Supra, so I've been away from this hobby for a few years. :)

My latest endeavor with RC has been setting up and modifying a Wraith to become an autonomous vehicle using microcontrollers, a/v feedback, etc.

Hope to see some of you around!

Robert

Newbie .....

Hello, my name is Mick and I am from the UK. My previous experience with RC is a tug boat called 'Southampton' which is laid up in dry dock at the moment in my garage with ESC problems. My grandson is allowed into my care on a regular basis and I am looking to keep his interest in RC and in particular rock crawling (less chance of him writing it off right?). I am researching which scale although 1/10 looks good to me and a RTR model to start him, and me off. Thought I would enrol into a site that looks like it knows what it is talking about ..... look forward to engaging some of you in the future....:)

I'm back after a very long hiatus, so I may as well be a newbie. Nothing RC in my stable except for what has turned out to be a long term airplane project, but hoping to change that soon and pick something up. :)
