New here, finally posting up. 2 Wraiths one go fast, and one go slow! Thanks to The Crawl Space in Arvada CO for helping out so much on both builds.

Hi, the name is Donnie.
New to crawling, not new to rc. Just picked up an SCX10 in a trade for my SCTE that I was bored with. I needed to slow down, way down. Racing was starting to get to me and I figured this was a way to slow down and have some fun in RC land again.

Hi guys. My name is Vince and I currently live in Everett, WA. I have a CR01 and a Wraith with Wheelie King axles in the making. Have a great day!"thumbsup"

Hey y'all I am from the citrus heights, ca area. I have a wraith and a scx10 rockin a Cherokee body, jk wheels and tires, trex 60 axles and r2 dual dig trans and the jk rear bumper. I have pieced the scx10 together and I'm at a point where I will finish putting it together. I have been thinking about taking the wraith apart and finding a body that with fit the width of the axles to build a tow rig with, and a custom chassis, maybe a new bright raptor body...any who I've been in deep since last October, and its been a bunch of fun building...

I have yet to actually go out crawling outside of my backyard. I guess once it is finally finished I will do it but for now I will post pictures of my progress of my build, wish me luck.

Hey everyone, I've been on here for a little bit just reading and trying to learn. Posting selectively on some posts.

Who you are?
Shawn Collins

What kind of rig you have?
I have an Axial Ridgecrest (my crawler) that I've made a little tougher by adding Vanquish Currie axles, VP titanium links, Axial Heavy Duty gears, Tekin FX-R esc and 45t motor, with HPI Rock Grabbers with 2.2 Competition Beadlock Wheels . I did an cheap change on it by moving the battery location to the front, for some added weight. I use a Spektrum DX3E to control it.

I just recently got an Axial SCX-10 Honcho, it's all stock (for now) but I've put the 2.2 Rip Claws from my Ridgecrest on it. Before some says that's not scale, it looks like a 1:1 truck that has a set of 44s on it. I do have plans for upgrades down the road. Including the VP Currie axles, VP titanium links, Axial 8 hole rims with RC4WD Rock Crushers (gonna make it a dually), a 3racing winch (most likely an 1/8 scale with steel fishing line as a cable). Just to list a few.

Where you live?

Lafayette, Indiana

Hello guys, I live in lawrenceburg ,tn and have a custom chassis with axial honcho body. I'm looking for a club near me to join so if ye know any please let me know thanks.

I'm new, I'm new, I don't know what to do........

wow this thread makes me feel like im in an A.A. meeting an I have a problem. I shower twice a day I pick my nose often i fart in bed an throw the covers over the broom riders head. other than that im good thanks rcc forum for the support group. :)

I've been lurking on here for awhile now and even have a few other posts, but here's my formal introduction. I'm Jeff from Warren, MI, just outside of the D. I've been into RCing for only a little over a year. Got my first scale rig (Dingo) after X-mas and took until April to get it going. Just picked up a used Honcho. Made some homemade scale accessories as well. Really enjoy this site. A lot of great ideas and general knowledge.

Hello,

JD here from Iowa

Picked up a ECX Torment for my kids a month ago and got the bug myself.

I've never had an RC prior to this, but we are excited to start a Tamiya Bronco kit which is on its way from RPP. I've also ordered a number of extra parts per the advice of many on the board. Thanks for that.

We have already started putting together a small crawler course in our back yard. ;)

I work in the field of mental health during the day and build motorcycles on side so am excited to learn some new skills in the RC world and do some smaller scale customization. I am taken by the scale rigs, especially those made with wooden bodies.

Anyway, great board here and I am impressed by the overall tone of the messages.

Cheers!

Hey guys another new guy here just started crawling. I got a MRC to start me off so far so good. I'm in Sacamento CA (south area) real busy with work but hope to get out to some crawling events and learn a little something soon.

Hey guys this is Brennan. I am new to crawling but not to rc. I recently purchased a used stock Losi Mini Rock Crawler and have been having fun with that. I used to own a Traxxas Rustler, HPI Crawler King, and Traxxas 2wd Slash VXL. I just wanted something that could be fun indoors but may try a comp. I live in Hickory, NC.

I've been ghosting the page for awhile, and using it to answer questions. Well i finally decided to register and introduce myself and my rides, so here is a couple pictures...

And I am in the middle hanging out with the lacs before their concert

My name is Brent. I just recently bought a ridgecrest. I'm hoping it'll satisfy my wheeling addiction until I get a 1:1 buggy. I live about 30 miles north of Pittsburgh PA.

Im about to buy a Losi Nightcrawler. Im not going to be be doing any compititions with it or anything, just looking for a fun crawler. I was wonder if there was anything I should replace when I get it. like the servo ive heard is weak, and maybe switching out the tires. So I don't really know what to do, so if I could get some advice that would be great. Thanks!

I know this is a RC rock crawling forum but all te other forums won't let you post anything.
I just got my ECX torment fixed( I replaced te ESC after it literally blew up) and I went to test it out today and I was driving forward, stopped for a second and the car went right into reverse and almost took my feet out from under me. It stopped and I kept driving and it flew into reverse again for about 2-3 seconds. So I don't know what the heck is going on with this thing! And it kept doing this for about 5 min before I took it inside.

Guess I'm not a new Newbie, been on here a little while. I live in Bradenton, Florida. I grew up in Florida, lived in Coral Springs for years, then moved to Sarasota back in '84. First RCs were the Sears or Radio Shack elCheapo variety. Later I bought myself a Tamiya Nissan King Cab. Had fun with that but was wanting something more scale. I was eyeing the 1/9th scale Kyosho 4Runner but wasn't comfortable with the price tag, then found the Tamiya 1/10th scale Pajero Metaltop Wide. What was cool about it is that when I bought it I was working at a Mitsubishi Dealership. I painted my Jero with a factory paint scheme and impressed my co-workers when I brought it to work! I ended up eventually buying a few of the other CC01 kits like the Wrangler, Amigo, and Touareg. Then I started building custom rigs with the CC01 chassis like my first Dually Ford F350. I bought a Tamiya Hi-Lift when they were first released as well as the TXT-1 and Juggernaut monster trucks. My latest trucks have been the Axial Honcho, Axial Exo Terra, and HPI Mini Trophy. I have a lot of scale 4x4s and am always building custom projects. I have been trying to connect with others in my local area that are into scale trucks and scale crawlers but it has been difficult. I usually invite a friend along and let him use one of my trucks. Anyone interested in getting together please contact me. I'm only 15-20 minutes away from the Sunshine Skyway Bridge.
