Howdy.

I'm Rene' (a dude) from Prescott, AZ.

I started out with a Clodbuster... still have it.

A few years later I got some Nylint 1/6s for my kids and I; but don't play with those much anymore.

Got an AX10 a few months ago and had fun with it.

When I purchased a Mad Torque recently (craiglist find), I sold the AX10 and purchased a MaxStone 1/8, because the Exceeds just seem like more fun to me.

I still play with a T-Maxx as well.

Anyways, I really dig the rockcrawling around here in AZ, where we have lots of granite to crawl on. "thumbsup"

Hey Everyone my name is Robert. I got my first real rc a couple years ago an SC10, enjoyed the backyard racing that was happening then and met some cool people. A guy named Central Coaster had a backyard SC track and he also had a "Scaler" I didn't know what exactly you did with a Scaler but I thought it looked cool. Then I got a Sprint 2 Drift had alot of fun with it. Raced the sc10 once in a while on the new indoor track, and enjoyed that but I am a terrible 2wd sc racer. So I got a Losi SCTE and love 4wd SC racing , but I don't race much. Bought a rc18for some onroad fun. Got a TC5 for more on road. Also got a F104 cause I love the scale look and on road F1 racing. Now I feel like I've come full circle and I am back looking a Scalers. I have wanted and crawler / scaler for a while now. Finally the go ahead for my xmas present- I got a great fiance'.

Now I can't decide if I want the new Rubicon or the Honch I have been liking since I first saw it. Help the newb decide!!! I'm literally buying one today - not sure which???? I like the pix I saw somewhere of the Rubicon with the roof covered, and somewhere I read someone saying that some company might make an accessory cover for it? Anyone think this might happen?

Hi! completely noob to RC Crawling, been in RC hobby for 10 years now, right now I have been racing Shortcourse and buggies, both 2wd and 4wd. Would like to get myself a nice, fully-capable crawler to feed my RC addiction when not racing. Any suggestions as far as kits go? I will search for it, but any suggestions are welcome!

hope to see y'all out there crawling!

Current list of most common RTR Crawlers that are expandable and good to start with?

Another newbie to crawlers here!!

My name is Joe, I live in the California Bay Area and have been into RC's for as long as I can remember! I am currently attending college so what little free time I have I like to enjoy many different hobbies.

I just recently became interested in Crawlers and was wondering if anyone could direct me to a thread discussing the most common currently available (new) and upcoming RTR crawlers that are expandable. I don't have much time to put together a kit.

I have been doing a lot of research and it seems like as far as RTR Crawlers it is pretty slim pickings. I have been leaning towards to LNC but I don't want to get stuck with something that I can't upgrade or doesn't have much as far as aftermarket parts.

Hey everyone, new to crawlers (and just getting back into the hobby after a 7-8 year hiatus) here. Steve from Piney Flats (eastern) TN. Looks like a decent place to learn and share, nice to meet y'all and happy new year! "thumbsup"

Hi, I'm Art from Newark, Ca. I have been racing 10th scale electric off road for about 20 years. I picked up my first crawler last year. (AX-10) just got another one on a trade. (Berg). Super nice rig and way easier to get up stuff than the Ax-10. Just messing around with it these days because I still race 2 days a week.

Hi everyone

I'm a newbie. Just got my crawler on boxing day:mrgreen:. Have yet to really bash it in the wild. Anyway my info:

Who you are? Name= Eric

What kind of rig you have? Rig = Redcat Rockslide RS10, stock condition

Where you live? Country = Singapore

Cheers

I was wondering and I have searched. But I was curious if there is a thread or website that explains what makes a crawler what class. I know what comps are and I know what scalers are but what makes something class 1 2 or 3 etc
Google search just turns up how to design a course

I'm Stephen, new to scale crawling
I got my first 10th scale crawler 2 days ago. HPI Crawler King
I have 2 losi micro crawlers (crawler and trail trekker)
I'm a railroader
Originaly from the deserts of California now in Arizona.
I was never much for RC cars cuz offroading full size vehicles is all I'm used to. So city life has got me into this since t
he 5-0 said I can't urban wheel in my personal truck

Hello rccrawler family! My name is Gered and I am from Iowa. Been a long time lurker but think I am going to finally take the plunge and pick up a crawler. I paid my dues so I could check out the for sale area and hopefully find myself a good deal. I am hoping to start with a SCX10 and build a scale rig.

Currently I run 1/5th HPI Bajas. I started last year by building a dirt oval rig and for this season I picked up an offroad rig to run on our new offroad track. I figured I can run the crawler around in between races n such

I didn't realize that the newb introductory thread was in the General section and not in the new guy section... seems logical though.

Well since I totally missed putting one of these up when I joined I figured I better throw it in here lol. I'm Dee live out in central OK. Got into crawling 5 or so years ago but due to it not being big where I was I sold out and left. Just recently decided I wanted to get back into it. Picked up a Losi Comp from a member and now I'm just waiting to get it electrified so I can start crawling again. Do plan on doing some mods to it as time goes by and the more I look and read the more I think I'll be headed in the berg direction later on lol.
