Hi everyone, my name is Will from sacramento, ca and I have an f350 with ax10 axles, tranny, and handmade everything else. It runs on an aluminum frame (1/4x1" rails machined and drilled), handmade aluminum links and y's, bumpers, brackets and all. It's what I have been wanting to build since I was a kid. Now that that is out of the way, I am working on a tuber with all steel. I don't post build threads (on any site) until I'm at least halfway through it. Been into rc for 14 yrs at least, but modifying for 13 years and 364 days. Thanks for all the great info on this site!

new guy from springfield mo. got interested in rc crawling through a buddy of mine, he let me drive his MRC and i fell in love. i ended up buying a redcat rs10xt(wanted to enter the hobby with little initial cost) i am completely hooked, ive started modding it already. im also looking into building a more comp ready rig.

I'm just a guy who likes to Rock Crawl, but my rig is a 1/1 scale '73 bronco.

I currently own a Nylint (lame I know), but my 2yr old son took it over, so I need to find something else.

I currently live in Colorado, but that will change in July.

Basically I signed up here to see what I could find in the used market for the lower end crawlers. I don't want to spend much, but I want to be able to play along side my son. I couldn't find any classified ads, so am I missing something? Thanks!

Strange, I thought I posted here a second ago, but I can't find it.

Anyway, my name is J.D. and I am from Colorado. I wheel a 1/1 scale '73 bronco, but enjoy RC crawling too. I own a lame Nylint, but my 2yr old son has taken that over, so I am looking for a cheap crawler of my own, so we can play side by side. Something that I can just charge batteries and go.

I checked out what I thought was the classified ads and I didn't see anything for sale. Did I miss something? Thanks!

Howdy.

I'm Jerry from Worthington Ohio and I am new to crawling.
I got sucked into it when I stumbled on some you tube videos of two Wraiths muddin'.

Aside from watching many more crawling vids and reading as much as I can in the forums here I am working on an XR10 build.

So far I got my XR10 kit from Cyclone Hobbies here in Columbus (thx guys!), a Thunder AC6 charger, and EXI tools from HobbyPartz.com.

I still need electronics and I am searching for recommendations.

I got into RC 20 years ago with a Tamiya Madcap. I still have it and it's a blast to run with my kids.

Take care and feel free to pm me if your in the area and looking to crawl.

-Jerry

Hello everyone!
Who you are?
My name is Michael.
What kind of rig you have?
I just got an Axial Honcho RTR with a venom3000 battery.
Where you live?
I live right outside of Memphis, TN.

This RC crawler is mine and my son's and we plan on turning it in to a 4 door jeep once we get the hang of it. My son wants it to look like my jeep, so we'll be painting it white and trying to get accessories that match.

Here is our new rc crawler:

Give us the general info: I'm 19 just graduated high school last year, currently working in Ingles warehouse making pretty good money but hopefully I am joining the Navy soon. My mom's ex boyfriend got me in to RC Crawling and I love it. Even though I just bought my first rig not long ago and I am having quite a bit of trouble out of it to begin.

Who you are? Coltan

What kind of rig you have? Losi Comp Crawler, JRracing z9800T steering servo, Ballistic Novak 18.5T brushless crawling motor, Spektrum 2.4GHz DSM SR300 receiver, and about to order a Goat 3S ESC because my Losi one fried.

Here is a pic of it as of right now, planning on getting a black body with a red Rockstar logo on the hood. Should be sweet.

Hello, I'm new here and found this forum by doing a search so I figured why not join. I'm new to the RC scale world and already I find it lots of fun! I've never really got into RC's before because I'm not much into going fast and all the RC trucks I was used to seeing all went fast that is, until about 4 months ago lol

Yep about 4 months ago i visited my local hobby shop to get a part for one of my slot cars and I just so happened to walk by the RC trucks and I saw something that caught my eye. Looking at the RC trucks I saw several different ones that said "rock crawler" hmm i said to my self that sounds interesting. I talked to the guy behind the counter about them and I told him what I was interested in and he told me all about them.

To make a long story short I bought one just to see if I would like it and…sweet!! I finally found a class of RC truck that I like lol Since I really don't know anything about RC's I just bought an entry level truck just to see if I would enjoy them or not.

I bought the HPI crawler king (it was cheap lol) and now I'm hooked haha I am going to now get a real (better) scale crawler so that I can fix it up with some bells and whistles so to speak.

I'm thinking about either getting all the parts from scratch and building it from the ground up or, I may buy a "Tamiya" jeep CR01 kit or a "Axial" SCX 10 trail honcho and change it up to suit my fancy.

Any feed back would be appreciated, thanks :)

P.S. i just bought the Axial scx10 and i'm in the middle of making some changes to it just wanted to throw that out.

Hi. I just thought I'd post a quick hello.
I'm super-new to the world of crawling, but not to RC. 95% of my activity int his hobby has been 1/10 buggy racing. (2WD, carpet offroad mostly)
I never thought I'd have fun crawling until I went out with a buddy of mine and two of his scalers. (I'm sure Joe may be a member here too) We went to a park in the middle of downtown Toronto. I had so much fun, I decided to build myself a 2.2 comp crawler: (sorry if that's the wrong lingo)
venom+creeper+1.jpg

I decided on a Venom Creeper. (That's it before I put the electronics into it) I know it's not the top-of-the-line machine most of you run, but I have a soft spot for under-dog RC's, and seeing the kind of performance I can squeeze out of them. The reason I decided to join this site, is that there seems to be some quality threads devoted to the Creeper.

I'll post more pics once I'm done painting it. :)

Hello all,

I'm an RC newb from Southern California. I have been building 1.1 Cherokee's for rock crawling since 1995, and Johnson Valley, Big Bear, and Moab are my old stomping grounds. I can fab, weld, and do most anything to full size rigs, but haven't a clue when it comes to the scale rc world. I'm now disabled and don't have the money or energy to do full size crawling right now, so I have decided to give this hobby a try. I have decided to start by replicating my red 96 XJ. I have a Axial SCX10 rtr kit on order along with a proline body, and all the cool upgrade parts I've run across so far. One area I'm still baffled by is batteries and chargers. I've been searching here but am still a little confused. Can someone please help me decide on a good charger and battery for crawling my SCX10 with stock electronics. This site so far has been a Godsend for knowledge and inspiration.

Thanks!

-Chris

Hello everyone,

I'm John, I'm 19 and from Michigan but currently live in Bloomingdale, Illinois for college. I'm brand new into RC rock crawling and just bought my first crawler, It's a stock Axial scx10 Trail Honcho, I currently am looking into a mid 80's toyota pick up body to replicate my full size rock crawler. Any help finding a body would be greatly appreciated. Also if anyone knows of any places where people meet up and run trails or rock crawl around me I would be glad to hear from you and possibly join up sometime.

Hi my is Shannon, I live in Sydney Australia. I am new to the sport of RC Crawlers... But hooked real bad.. I recently purchased a scx10 with which I love taking out bush. I have done a few modifications to it and have more to do. Also looking a purchasing a berg. A mate has one and showed it to me the other... Once I saw what it was able to do, I had to get one..
