Attn: NEWBIES POST HERE<<<<<<

hi everyone,

my name is Roog, a proper dutchie, clod veteran and crawler noob. I've got an CR-01 runner, and a TLT-01 build. Hoping to read up here on crawler knowledge. ;)

Hey guys newbie to crawling here... Well wanting to break in to it I should say. Names Mark from MN. I have had a few nitro vehicles and am weeding out the pack. Only have a couple left worth driving and I want to get in to crawling as I really love the scale aspect of it and I probably will not break as much stuff. Will float and search around to try and steer myself in the right direction on the best possible 1st crawler. I do not want to break the bank on my first one because if I end up not liking it I don't wanna loose a ton of $$$. So hello.

:badger:

New guy here with Crawling.
Thought I would drop in and say Hello

My Name is Brent
located in AZ
Just bought my son a SCX-10 Honcho
I am liking it more than he is.
I race 1/10th scale off road electric. Buggies and SCT's

I have found some weak points I am addressing. That front bumper is killing me on going up stuff without a good angle to hit the tire... and Ordered a High steering kit. within the 1st 30 secs I noticed that stock steering rod hits everything lol

I am still trying to find more info on this truck before I start asking a bunch of questions.

I do have a few.
Has anyone done rear steering on this truck?
I hear rear steering is less stressful on the drive train over a dig unit.
What are some most do add ons or hop ups to do to the SCX-10?

I plan to get another one for me along with a XR10 to really play with

thanks for any info

I love my axial scx 10. Hasn't gave me one problem. I actually lifted it too.

Hey everyone !

Just bought a Losi Night Crawler to see what i thought of the rock crawling scene. Now i'm hooked . I live in Newfoundland , Canada and rock crawling can be down anywhere here. Newfoundlands nickname is " The Rock " for a reason. I have owned the LNC for about month and only got to test it outside twice so far due to snow and just being too cold. So far i have added weights too the wheels which makes a world of difference and greased the worms which came stock with maybe a drop . Waiting on a new servo Hitec 333 oz , BEC, and a traxxas 21 turn motor.

Cheers

So I got my first crawler of craigslist for 250 rtr. Axial ax10. Got a new body in the works to make it a scaler to my daily driver/wheeler.

Hey everyone. I have a TA-01/02 H1 hummer. (I know, not much of a crawler platform) But hey I got a few ideas from here and from scale4x4rc and did what I would consider some pretty heavy modifications to it. I would like to buy one of the coveted SCX10 platforms and build another scale rig. So I joined this forum to get help and hopefully get some goodies from the classifieds. (Still waiting on those darn 30 days)

Hello guys.

I'm a 450 scale heli pilot who is branching into other realms. I currently live in Osan Airbase, Korea, as I am in the army. I have extensive knowledge of the RC world, just new to the crawler style. My truck is the simple Thunder Tiger Crawler. Nothing fancy but room to upgrade, and very friendly folks nearby here who are helping me out, albeit with a few issues as would be expected with a language barrier.

Hey to all that is reading,

New to the R/C world. First bought a losi mini 8ight brushless, def a fast baggin lil buggy. But just got into crawlin and Bought a new RTR AX10 scorpion. Heard that they were going to be discontinued and I'm glad I picked one up. Massive upgrade options. I think I'm addicted. Live on the coast of beautiful British Columbia so there's lots of rocks to conquer!

current upgrades thus far:

aluminium links
wheel weights
moved electronics upfront
trimmed body
painted beadlocks

more to come....

Nice and new here, just trying to figure out which crawler to get, still haven't even made my mind between scaler or more straight crawler.

But more than likely will either be a GMADE or a Wraith. As soon as I find one on sale. :)
Used to race the stadium trucks and 4wd cars, but want to try the crawling speed now.

howdy.

so, im from central oregon and go to school in K Falls. hit me up if your in the area. im also the president of the RC club on the college campus and regularly tear up the pace with my 4600KV castle 1406 powered STRC LCG slash and my 2650KV 6Pole Turnigy powered E revo. the slash is a fast and nimble and used for racing. the e revo is water proofed and ridiculously over powered. its pushing 60MPH on 4s lipo with out so much as even getting more then luke warm. i tend to break drive shafts with it.

i recently got an SCX10 and so far im loving it. i kinda have a hot motor in it so its the only crawler/scaler ive ever seen that can do wheelies. im also in the process of designing a nissan pickup body for it. im working on the 3D modeling that will eventually be turned into a block of wood and vacuum formed to a plastic or lexan body.
