Attn: NEWBIES POST HERE<<<<<<

Hello Everybody ! Just joined up and I am enjoying the site so far."thumbsup" I just bought an HPI Crawler King and love it ! Hope to talk with you all soon

Newb Here....I have 2 Losi Mini Crawlers, 3 Summits, and a Wraith.

From Pennsylvania....I have a question about a servo...I searched didn't find exactly what I wanted maybe this is the place to ask?

I'm putting larger tires on the Losi Crawlers, Do I need a more powerful steering Servo?

Cool...Any advise which one to buy?

I am using the Hitech 7955 on a Night Craweler with Comp Crawler tires. It is rated at 250 in-oz at 4.8 volts and is adequate for my setup. Whatever brand you choose, I would recommend a minimum of 250 in-oz, more is better, just costs more. Jerry

Jerry is correct.....a servo with higher torque typically costs more. However, I'd make sure to run my servo at a minimum of 6.0V. Something along the lines of a Hitec 7955 or Futaba BLS152 with an external BEC will perform nicely in your truck."thumbsup"

Thanks Jerry...what a warm welcome to the forum! "thumbsup"

1BAMFR,
I totally spaced it that this was going on a Mini Crawler. You may be able to get away with a less powerful servo. You might take a look in the Mini Crawler section and see what everyone else is running. If it will fit, the Hitec 9755 is a quality servo and you cannot go wrong with it. Jerry

Hello out there. My name is Chad. I sold my axial ax10 a while back and have regretted it ever since. I'm looking for a new truck now. I think I may go with a more scale truck this time, but you never know. Looks like a lot of good stuff on this site. I look forward to getting some good ideas from here. See you around!

Hi all,
Name's Mark and I live in Byfleet Surrey in the UK. Hoping to get a mini crawler soon and indeed have asked folks opinion on whether to get a standard or pro version (there are still some around).
Lots of great info on the site and some fantastic crawlers to see.
Oh Yes! My user name was meant to be crawlerbyname but something went wrong somewhere along the line.
Best wishes, Mark

Hey whats up all!

I am new to this forum and to R/C Rock Crawling! stoked to be a part of this community. I live in Costa Mesa, CA and I have an Axial SCX10 Dingo!

I look forward to reading pass threads, to create my rig to be the ultimate scale crawler!

Peace out,
Artothebeat!

Hi my name is Rick and I took a break from rc in 2000. Just got back into it. A friend of mine gave me some axles and a tranny and away I went:lmao:Started my first build in feb. now im onto my second custom build. Would like to build something close to my 1:1. There are eight of use in our group. We like to have gtg every week. will post some pics later8)

Hi, Eric here I've been lurking in these forums for awhile. I usually am not into RCs unless they are going fast enough that every part is ready to fly off. That is until I saw a vid of a XR-10 driving up a tree trunk. Ever since then I have been curbing the urge to spend too much money by reading the build and pic threads on here.

I'm Chris. I have a wreckluse that would be working if I could find some ax10 driveshafts. :)
I'm sure I'll find a million things to change on it, once it can move on it's own power. I also have a 1:1 TJ that is also currently needing a driveshaft. :( I seem to notice a trend.

I'm Paul, I'm from Chesterfield UK, and have been crawling for a month now with my Maverick Scout (upgraded a little now ), and I'm loving it :ror:
