5Th Dimension Sucker Punch "The Green Machine"

Sounds good hope to see you @ a comp.. how far away from being ready to run are you?

Just a little update on rear upper link setup . When I installed the rear D-lux upper link mount, I mounted my links on top of the truss (Like others builds I've seen). Setup this way my rig seemed as if I needed more weight added to front wheels. Instead of adding additional weight to front of rig I lowered rear links @ truss, in order to do so with the extreme axle pinion angle I have. I needed to add another bend to one of my upper links.
After testing this really seemed to improve the handling of my rig.
Just thought I'd share..

Still a work in progress...

JD BLC is having a comp @ Horsemans Park December 12th dust off that 2.2 Pro rig and come on out to crawl..

The rig is looking great. How have you been doing in comps? Did that scale 2.6 lbs? if that's true that is amazing.

I'm doing well, the scale is correct could shave a lot more weight off the rig...
Unfortunately haven't ran the rig @ a local comp. Hopefully @ our next BLC comp 1/9/16 I'll get some more run time on the rig..

Watching this climb basically vertical walls much higher than the wheelbase is very impressive.
Awesome 2.2 sporty you have there.
Cheers

Thank you very much, it's amazing what these crawlers can do.."thumbsup"

you can get an axial replacement top shaft that is shorter but if you dont have the extra plastic parts from the kit its cheaper to just get the kit from locked up.

The locked up kit is very worth the money

Hey Glenn glad you found what you needed, i had the top shaft leftover from another sporty build (ax10 trans top shaft). Are you going to have the rig built before the next BLC comp Feb 20th?

yes sir I did,

I'm currently building it, should be done by next weekend.

I had a set Sedona's plus I was board so I cut them up and reglued them, rear tires came out really narrow.
I also picked up some modified VP DH and DE wheels from D-wray (local rc store/hoarder) thanks David"thumbsup"
Front axle is a little wider than most using the DH wheels after a few pack it should feel normal again. Also widened the rear axle a bit to catch up with front axle so it doesn't look to odd. I'm going out Saturday for some comp practice hopefully I like the changes..
