Losi 1/10th Roller

Unfortunately, I plan on a mid April to May release. Just the way things usually go; delays from R & D to production, imports and distribution. I know they are working as hard as they can, but from the very beginning I have said it would be mid April to May. Hope I am wrong.

Late march is ok... Just don't say the A word (April)

I am affraid he will say the A-word. Look how long it took for the carvers to arrive. Sorry Losi, that is not very professional. Even if your timing su..s, I will still get one.

I don't mind waiting the extra time to get one. I'd rather they keep it in house and work out the last few items to make sure it's ready than release a product that could have problems. But I may be a tad biased since I've raced almost every Losi off road vehicle since the days of the JRX-2.

Thanks for keeping us updated Rich!"thumbsup"

Argh...ok guys, got some bad news.
As I have been saying from the beginning, the worms have been a challenge, getting the right ratio, tooth size etc. I was being optimistic that we would be shipping in late March, but after getting with our vendor and designer, we are going to be pushing back until late May to consumers.
This is very frustrating the issues we are dealing with BUT as I've always stated, we will not release it until it is right.
I know there are going to be some pissed off people here but it is what it is.
We're working our butts off to get this right.

Rich

As much as I would love to have it earlier, I applaud companies that delay in the interest of putting out a quality product. I hate companies that put out a crappy one for the instant profit.

Who of you would buy another Losi crawler if you got burned by a turd crawler? How many newbies would be turned away from the whole sport if they got something that broke or was too hard to drive right off the bat? How many comp guys would buy another Losi comp rig if their first comp was ruined due to a faulty gear ratio? <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>

I for one would wait until the other "A" word (August <?xml:namespace prefix = v ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" /><v:shapetype id=_x0000_t75 stroked="f" filled="f" path="m@4@5l@4@11@9@11@9@5xe" o:preferrelative="t" o:spt="75" coordsize="21600,21600"><v:stroke joinstyle="miter"></v:stroke><v:formulas><v:f eqn="if lineDrawn pixelLineWidth 0"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum @0 1 0"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum 0 0 @1"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @2 1 2"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @3 21600 pixelWidth"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @3 21600 pixelHeight"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum @0 0 1"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @6 1 2"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @7 21600 pixelWidth"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum @8 21600 0"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @7 21600 pixelHeight"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum @10 21600 0"></v:f></v:formulas><v:path o:connecttype="rect" gradientshapeok="t" o:extrusionok="f"></v:path><o:lock aspectratio="t" v:ext="edit"></o:lock></v:shapetype>) in order to get what I think is going to be one of "THE" best crawlers that will come out this year. I am not talking about what you could build better from scratch for thousands of dollars. I'm not talking about the stock rig that is great if youput a ton of after market parts on it. I am talking about kick ass, rock crushing, gear mashing awesomeness right out of the gate. All from one box. That is pure sweetness IMO."thumbsup""thumbsup"<o:p></o:p>

Rich I don't want it until it is right and I know that you are trying your hardest to get this truck to market. Thank you for taking the time to get things right, I wish that everyone would see it this way. Your communication to the public on the issues you are facing is commendable and you should be applauded for your efforts. Thanks gain for everything, keep the shiny side up, and I'll be ready to pick one up when it is ready.

bummer about that. Question for ya though Rich.... Normally with a DIG, when you disengage the rear and have front-drive only...the rear would roll freely...but it seems like the worm gears would prevent this correct?

Well that's a bummer... :-(

Well at least when I tell my wife... "oh yea I paid for that a long time ago" I won't be lying LOL

So what is the issue with the worms? Just curious... never know someone on here may have an answer to help you out.

And I agree with the others Rich, don't want it until it is right "thumbsup"

Yea that is correct, worm gears have to be driven, they do not free wheel.
