Yeti XL Aftermarket Thread

DhawkS steering bell crank and plate. Has any one tried this yet? Does it help the steering or should I put my money into a servo over this and or new aluminum rods and steel servo rods?

Is that a street Yeti? What tires are those? I myself would prefer larger bearings as well, however I also noticed that the driveshafts bearings are all unshielded. I check them from time to time but some Avid RC shielded bearings are definitely on my upgrade list if any start going.

I just ordered a bag (12) of Team Fast Eddy bearings off Ebay cheap. Came to me Very fast also. 15x21x4 rubber sealed $1.73 each.

Yes I have installed the aluminum he'll crank and servo saver... Installed these with a new hitec 480oz servo. Truck handles way better. Still this servo is just not enough for all situations but overall worth the $... to me.

Bummer,

Got the shock caps today, and no bleeder screw

That's disappointing, what is wrong with them that they'd put up a false picture? On a better note, CFM recently came out with their front link set ahead of the kit release.

That sucks have you contacted DHawk to see if he would send you the correct part? I know he listed a shock cap without bleeder screws then it changed to having bleeder screws. I sent him the request to add the bleeder screw through ebay 18 Jan 15 and he replied back that he had made the change on 24 Jan.

Didn't bother putting in a request/complaint. I was anxious to use them because my stock plastic old ones leaked on a couple of them, and I wanted to try different shock oils too. So I've decided to use them as is. The bleeder feature would have been nice, but decided to go with out it. Their still a nice part over all, and a big upgrade from the stock plastic stuff.

I hope from here we can get the O-ring/gasket as a service part in the future, its much nicer and thicker then the stock one.

T-bone Racing has a top plate (roof) and complete chassis skid available, with more protective armour on the way. Looking forwards to when all parts are available so I can order the lot. I especially like the chassis skid, it removes all those hangups and makes it smooth. ;-)

Kinda nice to see fresh new Yeti XL upgrades and parts added on eBay on nearly a daily basis. And probably other sales and distribution areas like wise. Not just eBay.

Lots of new stuff popped up today it looks like on eBay !

I know I sound like a broken record, but I mostly keep looking to see some sort of a clever replacement rear cage area, or some sort of kit that may fortify the rear cage some how with braces, or add-on's or etc. The cage area is the weakest area for me on my XL for real world bashing. Everything else I'm not worried about for now.

The other picture from the listing shows what you need...

thanks guys, found the pieces and put it all together. I used some of the white plastic washers on the steering box, and it feels very stiff. May need to go back in and pull them out.
