I'm just gonna post this so we don't have to post a new thread every time a new part pops-up, so it can be continually updated as time goes on and more parts get released. Post any experience with these parts as well in the thread so we can have a "knowledge base" of sorts "thumbsup". If i'm missing a parts source, go ahead and post it.

So, without further ado:

Axial - Aluminum/Various parts
>Turnbuckles, Sway Bar, Rear Link plates, Shocks, Tires

Since the Yeti Kit reveal, Axial has some upgrades already included on the kit that RTR owners will be able to install as well. You can thank SteveC6R for digging up the part #'s, which can be found on Tower Hobbies right now.

2-speed conversion, Turnbuckles, Steering Rack, Lower Links, Upper Links, Pivot Balls, Rear Upper Chassis Link Mount, Shock Tower, Skid Plate, Rear Shock Cage Mount, Motor Mount, Etc.

They are the same under the "GPM" name, so take that as you will. Seems people have a love/hate relationship with the brand.

Hot Racing – Aluminum upgrades
Hot Racing Axial Yeti XL RC Car upgrades and Hop-ups

Motor Mount, Serrated Locknuts, Springs, Aluminum Diff Cups. Other upgrades listed not available yet.

Questionable Quality IMO, mixed reviews about other parts from the brand.

T-Bone Racing - Skids/Bumpers
YETI XL

Roof, Bumpers, skid plates

Looks like T-Bone Racing has stepped up to the plate to release some skid plates for various parts of the XL, included a chassis skid and planned bumpers/A-arm skids.

Other big manufacturers (STRC, etc.) are yet to announce anything. I can add other parts sources to the list as time goes on. I emailed RPM and they said they haven't made anything because they haven't seen/heard of any major issues yet.

Also, I didn't add Asiatees mostly because their XL page just lists a million other things that are just RC related in general, even if they have the GPM parts.

shock caps are still the only thing ive ever broken, and it comes with spares so can't really complain too bad yet... will order the new ones now... cheaper than going to xxl2 shocks!

But the XXL2 shocks with RC raven progressive springs in front and the 4.0 white losi springs in back are fricken KILLER on the Yeti XL. I got all 4 of my shocks new off eBay fro $60.

I wonder how the Icon shocks on the kit will be, they seem to be a lot beefier and the springs are hopefully a bit stiffer.

Although these are not after market there are springs for the RTR Yeti XL
Axial Racing - Yeti
Red 3.34 lbs/in
Green 5.35 lbs/in
Yellow 6.76 lbs/in

RTR springs are...
White Front 4.52 lbs/in and Purple rear 1.88 lbs/in

Kit version springs are...
Front 7.9 lbs/in each long(yellow) and short(white)
Rear are 3.2 lbs/in (red) short and 6.3 lbs/in (green)

RTR diameter is 23mm x 109mm in length
Kit is 23mm x 40mm shorts and 23mm x 70mm long

Shock bottom cap appears to be the same however the part numbers are different in the RTR vs Kit instructions. Not sure which shock pistons are used in the RTR but the Kit version calls out specific pistons to use 1.4 4-hole front and 1.4 6 hole rear so those wanting the suspension to perform more like the kit video more than likely need to do some shock tuning and add some weight to the rear like a spare tire and the fuel cell weight box.

Just eBay. I buy a lot of parts off eBay. They have sets there now but it's $40 for two and $5 shipping in the US. Shipping to you in Australia will be more probably. I got all four of mine new for $60

They are not a direct drop in. Very simple to fit them. You will need LST XXL2 shock stand offs and some spacers behind them in the front. If you don't do that the springs will hit the front drive shafts. Out back you have to trim the rear shock cage and install the standoffs with no spacers. Then the lower shock rod end will need to be trimmed so it moves freely in the lower rear arms.

I have a ton of PICs but haven't done a how to. Maybe this week. Its been a lot of years since I have posted in a forum and Im slowly getting back into it...trying.

I have the xxl 2s on mine as well and I give them a "thumbsup". I paid around $40 on eBay.

I also have the gpm servo horn and link. Solid and works well. I put the xpert waterproof high torque servo and the beefier servo link required a little dremeling. When the horn turned the link would rub the front clip plate that covers the servo link.

I also ordered the gpm steering assembly and mount. But still waiting on customs to clear package.

I sent them an email on ebay stating they needed a bleed screw and what do you know I guess they made it happen."thumbsup"

Seems like every few days some sort of an aftermarket part or upgrade for the Yeti XL seems to pop up!

Gotta love it! Good to see this kind of support and aftermarket with in only a few short months of introducing a whole new platform.

Don’t want to sound like a broken record, but I’m really hoping someone comes up with some sort of a better rear cage or maybe some parts or pieces that will strengthen it. I’ve broken mine in different places on two separate outings with my Yeti and I’m getting worried that this is gonna be the weakest area on the XL’s when bashing them, after of course doing some of the existing upgrades in other areas.

I’ll be watching 8)

When they start making rear lockouts and front carriers I would like to see provisions for bigger bearings and or multiple bearings in the rear lockout. What are your thoughts?"thumbsup"

Is that a street Yeti? What tires are those? I myself would prefer larger bearings as well, however I also noticed that the driveshafts bearings are all unshielded. I check them from time to time but some Avid RC shielded bearings are definitely on my upgrade list if any start going.
