if i may ask What did you do to mount the motor ? Mamba Micro mount holes are smaller than the stock Yeti Jr mount allows for

Been running this battery tray for a couple weeks or so now and I'm really happy with it. It's the 3D printed version that's available on eBay right now. It's really well designed and fits extremely well into the Jr. chassis. You swap a couple screws, remove the leftover parts, very easy install. For the price, I can highly recommend one of these to anyone. I'm still running my little Hitec servo with good results but it's nice to know that if it breaks I can easily upgrade to a full size servo without issue. It also incorporates front fender wells and a nice little tray for the receiver. Handling has also improved due to the lower CG of the battery and climbing is better because of the more central weight bias. All in all, a very well thought out and nicely designed piece for less than $30 shipped. Get one while you can.

Just picked one up, I haven't been home in months and it's good to see some people and GPM jumping on the bandwagon cause i love this thing.

Major steering upgrade here: Spektrum low profile servo good for 167 oz of torque. The ability to fit a full size servo is probably as good a feature on the battery tray as moving the battery to the center of the chassis. Steering will never be a problem again.

I needed to grind a bit of the chassis out in order to clear the screw on the servo horn and drill out the screw hole in the bellcrank to fit a M3 screw but nothing difficult. The stock steering link no longer fits but all the pieces to complete the steering were easily sourced from spare Axial parts (a cut down servo horn and a couple rod ends joined by a 3 mm set screw).

Just a few drops of 2 part epoxy is all I know of. One or two 3D printed ones were sketched up but I don't think they ever made it.

Check Shapeways and see.

Locked the rear. So much better. I can't believe I didn't do this earlier. Now do I do the front? I know I will but I want to try and run it open for a little while.

So I locked the front and flipped the front control arms as I saw someone do it on Instagram. Love the ground clearance and the way the front suspension feels now. Fun little truck. Bummer it sounds like they are a flop. To me it's the perfect size. I can mess around in my backyard and that's all I want, to spend a few minutes a day off-roading. I'll live with the front Indy suspension. Man I wish there was a solid axle quality minicrawler.

There are a few 1/18 crawlers. But they're not without their issues either. The only one I can think of off hand that's reportedly good out of the box is the Proline Ambush.

The Ambush is 1/24 micro. I got plenty of Losi MCRC and a Sumo axle micros. I really like the mini size. A little more durable and capable

The Lodi Mini Crawlers show up from time to time on fleaBay and the classifieds. Other than that I don't think there's any. Check the Chinese website like Banggood every now and again. They'll throw up something between a 1/24 and a 1/10 sometimes. But even there they're short lived.

I'd like to see something mid scale without the worm gear axles. Something like what this YetiJr. has in the rear.
