Wyatt's Journey of Phoenix (s)

After the Bronco I took out my Pro for the first time!

A truck I have wanted for the last couple years and was very lucky to get one in this last round of the Trucks of Fortune.
I built it up with some of my favorite parts, Holmes BR Mini, Crawlmaster Sport 10t NSDRC RS800 V2, BFG Krawlers, KMC Impacts, Purple Rings. A Metallic Green Paint, and Gunmetal Strips.

Of course it drives really well, as expected, it was a big surprise that it felt so similar to my SSD TK Pro with F9s under it. They shame more similarity than VP would want to admit.

First Scratches. My favorite part!! NO Shelf Queens

I love the color combo on this truck.

More Scratches!

Both the Ultra and Pro Got Copper Dashboards so when the sun hits them just right they light up.

All in all a great first run. It was my first time running the RS800 on 4s and I can't go back now, its amazing SO MUCH POWER!

Cool forethought and nice touch to paint the dash copper so it shines in the sun!

I wanted to get in one more crawl before the end of the year so I grabbed the Ultra and Comanche and went out to a local spot along the river that has some really cool terrain when the water is down and when the ice is formed.

Found a section of open ice to straddle.

The Hunks have provided way more traction than I originally expected. I have liked JConcepts tires on my comp trucks and only recently used them on trail trucks but these are shockingly good on Granite. Especially in the 40℉ temps we had that day.

I drove this Big Granite slab probably 15 times because it was so satisfying to find an obstacle that was exactly at the limit of the trucks vertical climbing ability.

As Mentioned before I took the Comanche out as well. Its still only had a couple runs on it and I haven't gotten around to finishing all the details. I have a bed rack I welded up for it that needs to be mounted, a Roof top tent I designed and printed, and a trailer for it to pull. I just wanted to drive instead of work on it.

It took a moment to adjust from the Ultras big 4.75s Portal axles and great clearances to the big chunk bumpers, 4.19s and straight axles.

The 80mm shocks were exactly what this truck needed, it has a more appropriate flex now.

I put some Duratrac Showdowns on it on some Knockoff Roosts Not sure if I like the look more than the Falkens on the SSD Ruggeds I normally have on here.

This spot has so much terrain in such a small area its easy to spend a couple hours here.

I need to do something about the empty Bed.

While not specifically a VS410 it has VP axles, and get and honorable mention.

Stubby.
My Element Framed, extra short wheelbase, VP axles Mini Mojave.
It's a 2dr Mojave body with a 4dr bed that has been bobbed, and a wheelbase of about 10.2"
I recently put the black F10T axles under it.

I went out and got the first scratches on the axles.

Ice Crawlers anyone? And no it didn't make it without a lot of momentum.

Finally the JK8. I hadn't driven it for a little as I drove it 4-5 times in a row.

This truck just drives so well. However I think after 2 years my RS500B is starting to show some signs of a end of life. It struggled a lot more than I remember in this truck. Its got a lot of hard miles on it so I wont be disappointed to have it finally give up the ghost. This truck is due for something more powerful anyways.

The Tusks unsurprisingly work great.

This spot has a very weird traction profile. On the same rock you can go from watersmooth granite that provider little traction to rough decomposing granite thats mega traction to a split in the rock that grabs your tire and flips the truck before you can react.

I decided to drive across the river when leaving and made it across, but them my buddies truck fell through the ice partway and I was going to bring the JK8 back to push the truck out of the water so we didn't have to walk onto the ice, but I missed the section I drove over before and ended up dropping my front end into the river. As seen from the Bridge above.

Great pics and some funny looking spots. Thanks for sharing them, I enjoy see the different terrain guys are crawling.

I haven't done a ton of RC lately with some -10 degree days and weekend work. However, I did go to Moab a couple weekends ago and brought along the Ultra. The Jconcept THE HOLDS works great out there just as they have one everything I have tried them on.
Only grabbed a couple photos but I did had a blast, the Ultra has proven to be more fun than my Pro.

I usually take my trucks along. That Moab trip was to go run some trails in the my Ranger but often our stops for breakfast, Lunch, or camp I break the trucks out and mess about. Sometimes I can even find places to make my actual truck look like a RC.
