Whats everyone up to?

Looks like I F'd up then. Cause I was crawling besides Gilles from 5-6:15. My bad.

Looks like you were on the 110 side? I've broke lots of parts there.

There is a milder spot on the 302 side by the pulloff/parking area that I now prefer to use.

Let me know of you wanna try the 302 side sometime soon, I'll bring the charger.

Sorry no mini servo. Can't you just make a plate to but a regular sized one one? I think I saw a pic in the 1/16 build thread in general section.

Looks like I messed up. I re read ,you said gilles, oops. Fawk dude. I still want to crawl there too! Haha.I passed through there at around 4:30, I still look like it every time I drive by. Haha. I went to the 110 side because when I googled maped it, that where it said to go.. Well try again next week some time. Its supposed to be pretty nice all week.

If I upgrade the servo.. then Ill start breaking knuckles... everything on this crawler stalls out before it breaks. I think that why it lasting so long. I pulled it apart and its all metal geare'd. Replacements are only $5 but backordered 2 weeks. I bummed one off Courts dads maxstone 16, so Im good for now. Im pretty sure water killed mine, it was pretty rusty in there, I never water proofed it.

You can geat a cheap 1/10 servo for like $20 at Coins and Hobbies if you really need one. They are only like 40 oz/inch, shouldn't rip to much apart. Not like when I put 400oz/inch in plastic world of Axial and then have to upgrade everything else. I might have another one lying around. My basher Stampede has munched three servos in the last month, so I'm not sure how many more I have left.

To waterproof servos I'll typically pull them apart and fill the electronics side with dielectric grease and the gear side with Lucas Red and

I think that Coins and Hobbies might have a couple mini servos too, not sure if they'd be metal geared or not though cause they are likely for airplanes.

Does thursday or Friday work for you to hit up E barre dam?

Yup, just go straight across the roundabout and theres a pulloff on the right as the hill levels out, hard to miss. If you do miss it you'll quickly see the spillway and accompanying rocks.

I can be there about 5:15. I gotta bring my daughter but she ussually likes playing with toy cars as much as I do.

Bahh, Im backing out of thursday.. Courts wants to go to thunder road.. vroom vroom!

Friday might work, but I need to pick up some parts in Barre first..

Well whatever works for you I can probably make. Just let me know.

Thunder road doesn't start till later does it? like seven or so. Gosh, it's been so long since I've been I don't even know. I'll be watching the babes tommarow at the appartment so feel free to stop by. 159 Mill St East Barre appartment six. Only about two miles from T road.

Got some solid bolted motor mounts and a welded diff in the blue road truck today. Just gotta get some gear oil and brakelines tommarow and it'll be beatable. Wheres your woods toy stored?

The woods toy is stored in Royalton at my parents house/shop. Ill be wheeling down that way on the 21st/22nd if your interested. I need to change out the rear 3rd in my 4runner one day then Im wheelin the other.

If its light wheelin, Im down to take my 4runner. But its got crappy sporttrac tires and open diffs.

Thunder road starts at 6 and I dont get home till 530. So its eat quick and go. Haha

Heck ya I'm down for wheeling next weekend. Just give me a time and place and I'll be there prepared to get stuck.

I'm not sure on tommarow, I'd really like to finish up my blue truck after work. Can't believe that little odds and ends sucked up $70 at the parts store today.

I'm going to Manchester NH on sunday for an RC crawling comp. Leaving at 6:30 AM for one long day of playing with toy trucks.

Which ever day works. I need to swap out the rear 3rd of in my runner but Im open the rest of the weekend.

Got the blue truck back together. Now I'm a cool kid with a spool.

Taking it, and my significant other, down Eagles Ledge in a couple hours. Should be a blast.

Next sunday works better for me, but I assume your club has a schedule to keep. Let me know as soon as possible which day it is so I can schedule around family life. How far of a drive is it to the wheeling location?

Its not a club run, Im just having a few people over to wheel and make some new trails on my parents property. Its about 5 min off Exit 3 on 89. Ill be heading into the woods around 10am.

Ill text you the address.

And incase anyone beside me and travis use the VT section (hah!) your invited too, Just let me know.

Sounds good. Saturday works better for me, but I can likely make either work.

Funny, I drove past there on the way to Manchester yesterday to play with the NEERC club at Rock Rimmon. Really cool spot in the middle of a city no less. I took first place in the first half of the hillclimb with the Wraith, and I think I got third in the second half.

I broke a total of 4 rod ends during big falls. The AX10 rolled off a twenty foot cliff and only broke two rod ends, I was impressed.

Let me know if you wanna RC crawl this week at 302, tonight, wednesday or friday work for me.

Took the DD truck up hardwood flats road and through eagle ledge and woodbury mountain road on Saturday. Only got stuck once. The truck is all happy I scratched its belly at let it get dirty. I've never seen the water so low up there, I drove right through all the beaver ponds and didn't even get the floorboards wet.

Cool. Wednesday it is.

I can be at the 302 parking area at about 5.

So which day this weekend do you want to wheel? Checked the truck over today on lunch break, and the exhaust needs some welding, I need some driver's door hinges, and the T-case front output leaks. Minor details that should be attended to by the weekend.

Wheeling Sat works great for me. Ill be getting down there probably around 8 to do a a few minor things to my truck before we head into the woods. Ill give you the address Wed.

Ill be getting to the Dam probably around 515! Weather looks good, should cool down a bit by then.

So I ended up gluing the whole knuckle on. Ha. Oops. well its on. So im ready to go for some time next week.

I also spent some time on the backup 16 and its much to the point of my current one minus the dual rates and cut tires. So once I get another servo it will be good to go. "thumbsup"

Next monday works best for me. 302 at 5:15?

Hope you used good glue. lol.

I get to spend tommarow at Black Rock fixing up the enduro car for it's third year. Not bad for a 250,000 mile Camry.
Needs a little radiator support straightening with the Bob cat.
You going to the Enduro? It's august 5th.
