What did you do today?

The past week I've been cleaning my parent's property. Hauling off scrap metal and loads to the dump. My daughters are hard workers and I'm thankful.
1 of the guys at the scrapyard said "you girls are hustling today". I think they made 3 trips that day.

I'm chuckling when I saw this, I found my old winged traxxis called SONAFA...(traxxas forum never caught that!) This was a tire shredder running 17mm hexes and a huge motor. Burned clutches were normal because of where it ran.

I was looking for a set of wheels for my E-Revo the other day and found my long missing Traxxas 1/16 Rally Car (originally, it was a Fiesta with the Titan 12t) as well as a couple Traxxas 7600mAh packs that I bought years ago for the same E-Revo. The pack in the 1/16 tested out ok and took a charge as did the 7600’s!

Even took it out to try it out today, but will definitely need to try and tweak and tune it.

That's a WICKED Bug!
Thanks, back right after U finished it I did have a couple offers on it, but it wasn’t for sale then, now I’m trying to figure out what else to do to it now that I’ve found it, plus I found the one we bought for Dad that is still a 100% stock 1/16 big block Fiesta. Which will be getting a bunch of similar mods and a Parma Meyers Manx style body, which have been laying around for years because we hadn’t had time then just forgot about it.

This actually happened yesterday, but was out racing with friends that are all instructors at a large auto tech school and had a small incident with the pinion on my 1/16 Traxxas. The pinion set screw and motor mount screws all loosened up around the same time and there was some…….contact.

Spent much of the morning digging dirt out of a pit I had a buddy dig me to install a 14x3 pool for my Ducks. Got about 90% done and it started to rain, and at 58, I'm not about to work in the cold rain. Had frostbite too many times and know exactly where that leads.

Then I got some food in me gullet and started a YouBoob Live installing upgrades on the LOSI Promoto MX Pro Circuit (Green Bike) that I am turning into a Themed Supermoto. Got a 6 hour run. Was slow, didn't say much, and some of the vid was not catching much as I forgot to work in the center of my table under the cam. lol Meh, It'll get better. I hope.
Check the vid, like share and sub to the channel too please.

Tomorrow I finish up the pool pit, then have about 3 yards of dirt/sand I have to wheelbarrow to the front yard MX Track.
Gonna be a busy day.

i got to watch my grandkids abdolutly brutalize my trx4 and a fms smasher and a wpl yota oddly enuff the fms held up great the trx4 had rodend issues from the forward backwards over and over and over the wpl kept loosing the driveshaft

Not today, but last Saturday I rode my Harley for the first time since my car accident. I rolled the car on August 27th, 2023 and pinned my right arm underneath. I'm claustrophobic and freaked out and extracted myself. Probably did even more damage. Both lower bones were crushed. After the surgery to install two plates and 30-something screws to attach those to the bones, I had zero strength and barely any flexibility and was unsure if I'd ever be able to ride again. Even my physical therapist admitted he didn't know if I'd ever normal use of my arm again. Fast forward to last month and I have been riding my Grom, but that thing weighs just over 200 pounds. On Saturday I decided to roll the dice with my nearly 700 pound Harley (I currently weigh in about 120 pounds) and thankfully all went well. My wrist was definitely tired aftwards, but it felt so good and freeing to be back on a motorcycle again! I rode to work yesterday and plan to ride most of Saturday.

Congrats, man!

That's a lot to work through, VERY impressive feat...;)(y)

I also love your bike - it's still obviously a Harley, but with loads of modern touches - the exhaust especially looks incredible.

My broken SV650 is STILL sitting in my brothers garage.

Thank you!

Yep, it's a Harley...something I said I'd never own. But they actually have some horsepower these days especially with the Stage 1 cam and tuner and it's pretty quick. Handles better than it has any right to and it is comfortable over bumps.

The exhaust is stock except for the slip-on mufflers from Cobra. I have a set of larger diameter Rinehart slip-ons at home that look beefier. I originally wanted Rineharts and they kept delaying my order so I cancelled it and bought Cobras. Then Rinehart was clearing out the Fat Bob slip-ons and I scooped up a set for something like half price. I keep forgetting about them. Maybe I'll tinker with those this weekend, but I have plans to ride so probably not.

We've started a team breakfast at work once a week. We all chipped in and bought a Blackstone. This morning (after being up working from midnight till 5AM LOL) I cooked 1.5lbs of bacon, 2lbs of sausage, and pancakes. Coworker's wife made Scotch eggs. We ate good.

Upgraded my 1/16 Traxxas to Hot Racing carriers last night, should have done this a decade ago!

No pics yet, but Dad is doing this to his 1/16 as well as the aluminum push and tie rods, steering and rocker bearings, as well as the hollow balls since other than it’s own Sidewinder and 4600 combo, it was completely stock.
Not sure which of us was more excited about the carriers though, both of them had a ton of slopin them.

While not crawler related.... RC related... I recently picked up a shell of a project at an electronics flea market for $15

Sig Kadet MKII - Brushless Outrunner conversion in the works. :devilish:

Stripping off the terribly done monokote, going to prime and paint it instead. As well as fix a bunch of deficiencies and broken items.

PS: If you ever decide to build a plane, do not, ever, do your monokote job, and THEN glue in the rear stabilizer and rudder. 🤦‍♂️
