What did you do to your TRX-4 today?

Today I did some lite bashing with the kids at a park and the way I have the TRX4 is set up for crawling it's constantly tipping over at higher speeds. So after we got back I set up a second set of shocks with heavier oil to help with stability and body roll. Tomorrow we'll play around in high gear and see how much of a difference it makes.

Installed underdrive gears and locker in the rear axle and added Samix brass portal covers with rotors.

Did some painting and assembly. Windows, winch and led lights on the list before hitting the trails again.

That is a sweet looking Comanche! Love the old Jeep, have an XJ as my full size rig. My new project is my Defender. I am not familiar with posting pictures but I am new to this group and am thankful for the info I have found so far. I just replaced the steering servo and will be ordering my new ESC soon. Love my rig and have a lot that I want to do.

Is that a RC4WD Trail Finder 2 Toyota Hilux body? If so, any cutting/trimming required?

No, it`s a Jeep Comanche body from Aliexpress. My first build, so cutting some corners on mounting. Like cutting in the bed to get the shock mounts up. But im pretty happy with the final result. :)

Got the new wheels and tires mounted. Also did final assembly. The only thing left now is to print a front bumper with winch mount. Also waiting for the 100mm shocks to get some more clearanse and twistability. Have been playing with the idea about a cantilever system for the back shocks.

I wired up the 2 position switch so I can manually select to use ch3 for either my homemade servo winch or the 2 speed tranny. I ended up making a spacer to extend the receiver box to accommodate the switch and extra wires. It's a bit cramped in there so I'll eventually make a custom water proof box capable of holding all the wiring comfortably.

Smoked my brushes in the titan today on the back yard course. Have a spare. Time to look at upgrades. Had a good line going until it happen. At least I was out back. Can see a chunk of the contactor chilling by the fins in the pic.

Got my TRX4 muddy for the first time and man was it a pain to clean afterwards. The mud was fun but the clean up was such a pain I won’t be doing it too often until I get a better cleaning station set up.

Finished up my lighting install yesterday, then stretched it’s legs out in some loose dirt and gravel. Funny thing is being able to keep going as it is getting dark..
