What did you do to your TRX-4 today?

Something about that Jeep makes me think post-apocalyptic thoughts...

Lookin' better and better!

"thumbsup"

thanks man! ...also admiring some of the detail on a lot of these other rigs, works of art!

Would like to do a little more scale detail on my rig but I roll and scratch it up too much to put anything on it ...would end up just ripping everything off on boulders haha.

Hope all you guys with the pretty rigs get em dirty and scratch em up good! "thumbsup" ...roll or go home!

19 degrees and windchill has it feeling like 5, but hit the backyard trails for a bit to do some test and tune. Have to say I'm really impressed with the Canyon Trails now filled out by Comp Cut CI Foams. They worked incredibly well in spite of the cold and damp. Just workin it!

Got some battle scars on the new bumpers as well."thumbsup"

Just bought my sport.. Luckily my intentions were to build off the platform, without running it out of the box, so the cold weather is actually helping me build more patiently LOL..

Another day to play

Did a bit more tuning last night and got back out on the backyard trails/rocks this morning. Did my best Ice Road Truckers impression on my creek crossing!:lmao:

Anyway, added a little pre-load out back, dialed some out up front. Also brought the front bumper in 1 more notch for better approach. Rear bumper is bottomed out, but I'm still not digging departure. I'm going to see if I can do some hacking on it to bring it further in. Lastly, played around a bit more with the 1080 settings and I'm just stoked on how dialed it's feeling."thumbsup"

Installed the Traxxas BEC and a new Traxxas ESC as the new Savox servo I put in 3 days ago for the steering smoked my original ESC. Haven’t had a chance to run it yet and I gotta admit, I’m nervous now. Hopefully the Traxxas BEC is up to the task.

ooh, that happened to me when i tried to run sense dual and lights of the ESC, ended up running the lights on the ESC and bought an extra battery for sense and winch...
good luck man

Made some new rear links to shorten the WB a little bit.

So now my awesome CODYBOY body fits right on.

Also did some modifications to some bumper mounts and slid the shock tower forward to make everything work out just right

Added the Bronco fender kit. I cut the fenders to fit over the Samix shock towers.

Bought the Sport body and got it painted. I didn't like the Sport body when it first came out, but the more I saw them with different paint schemes, the more I wanted one. Also added the Dixieland R/C roll bar. Still need to add a few decals.

And cut the stock tires and still in the process of siping them. Put the tires on a set of VP Roost wheels. These wheels match the body better than the VP 101's. Almost forgot, shaved down the rock sliders to tuck in tight to the body.

Thanks kincer, Danza & Dr.!

I'll post up another pic when it's done. Can't wait to get it and me out on the rocks! It's been cold, snowy & wet for too long!

Sorry to hear that you replaced your XL5 ESC with a new one and installed a Traxxas BEC. For $40 you could have installed the HW1080 ESC and not needed the external BEC plus had a better performing ESC in the process. Major missed opportunity!

New Sport body looks great B-MOW! Nice colors and scheme, plus it looks 10 times better with clear windows! I just got my commanche body done, but I'm already thinking about doing up the Sport "Camper" body. Really liking the scale accessories Traxxas is doing like the grill and light bucket kits.

I did order the Narrow inner fenders today, so I'll be mounting those up as soon as they arrive.

My BRAND NEW LED light switch for all my lights went bad. I had another switch laying around so threw that in and went for a little night run in the snow. Any doubts I might have had about having enough light were quickly dispelled!:lmao:

1st pic coming back up the climb and I'm about 50 feet away.

2nd pic is a perfect little snow donut that came off my right front tire after slicing back and forth to get the climb. Super slick out there.

3rd pic is my little side yard test loop that ties in to the rest of my stuff. Typically where I start out since it's right around from the garage

Last pic is headed down the climb and I'mabout 40 feet away.
