What did you do to your TRX-4 today?

Ended up having to ream some post holes up front since the body wouldn’t stay put. Decided to try out some vinyl I had around and ended up with this. It’s brushed aluminum and I was worried it’d be too loud but it’s starting to grow on me.

haha.

thanks Durok. Sometimes knifing without a plan works out, sometimes...

I may end up switching to black instead of the faux brushed aluminum but I figured it's worth getting this out in the sun for a crawl at least once.

Finally installed the flysky GT5 to the bronco.
I can now change each diff open or closed how I want rather than how Traxxas setup was.

3rd = shift
4th = winch
5th =rear diff
6th = front diff

Glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t care about scratching up that purdy Bronco body.

They are Gearhead trail king ez loc 1.9 wheels. Expensive, but my favorite wheels I’ve ran. I have Gearhead ez locs on my wraith also and love them.

Those gearhead wheels look great on the sunset bronco. Dish for days! Post some wheel porn for us when you get some scale hubs on there.

I gotta agree with everybody .... that's one good lookin' truck! "thumbsup" I wanna see more outdoor pic's in your thread too. :)

8)

Will do, I haven’t had much crawling time lately but I’m hoping to get out this weekend. I’ll take pics.

Got this little tool box from hobby lobby for a few bucks. May paint the tool box or use something else but I like the little metal tools.

Got the new wheels on the rig and spooned on the Canyon Trails that I boiled off the RTR wheels. Comp Cut Inners, Soft Outters up front, Medium Outters out back. Unfortunately, I could not get one of the tires to get the bead to conform at all. I screwed around with it for hours. Finally said screw it and ordered a new one on FleaBay. Figure I'll use the non-conforming tire as a spare.

Also got some other little bits added, including the mirrors from a TF2, Tie down points in the back bed (Courtesy of some tow shackles I had), and a "Tarpaulin".

I have those same tools, lol, but I got mine at Michael's. I haven't figured out how I want to go about keeping them in box yet... (glue? magnets?...)

Got the GRC rear shock/portal mounts in today. They seem to be of good quality. Clean machining and fit, a breeze to install, good hardware included.

Definitely gives the rear shocks angle that I’m hoping helps with sidehilling. We’ll see how it goes this weekend. 4th pic down shows the mount installed on the right versus the stock vertical angle. Last pic is both sides installed. I also have HR shock towers installed.

That trucks coming along nicely, always liked those Comanche bodies.

Thanks Guys! I appreciate the kind words! I'm waiting on a Wraith Spawn interior and a few other little things to try and wrap things up.

Danza - I saw a thread a little while back on the GRC shock mounts and also another brand. GRC offers them just for the rear correct? Let us know how they work out.

Another Sunday funday out at red rock. Great turnout today

Also picked up a Comanche body from our PL guy after the crawl, going to use that for heavy use and repaint the taco on the outside.

Yes just the rear, I didn’t get to test out the sidehilling as much as I wanted to today but so far so good. It was wet and slightly muddy out so it was more of a wheelspeed than technical kind of crawl day.
