What are you working on??

Got my "bad bug" project running again. Yes, there are three wires you see coming from my new motor. It's an ebay special 3930kv non sensored motor and esc combo. They advertised it as 3s compatible but when I got it it only runs 2smso they are sending me the 45amp 3s esc for free on the slow boat from china literally. I switched everything over to modern electronics, well, still have the big antenna receiver and radio only because that's what I had laying around but regular servo and such. Did full ball bearing upgrade on transmission and front wheel bearings. This thing is an uncontrollable wheelie maching now, can't wait for 3s!!! lol Kind of stupid but I've had this since new in 1990 so the nostalgia makes it worth it to me. Wheelie bars are in the works. Better shocks too someday.

So, while giving the ZJ-10's paint a few days to fully cure I got a chance to work on the Nukizer lid!!!

It didn't come out quite as good as I had hoped, but at the very least, it is definitely unique!!!

I brushed the grey onto the roof trying to give it a textured soft top look.
I should have just spray painted it white. LOL

Plus I got a chance to cut the inner fenders out as well!!!

I had to see how it looks, so I stuck the Nukizer lid on Amber's rig.

Powered up my charger power supply today to charge batts for tomorrow, and I hear sizzling.. Then smoke, more sizzling. Oh well.
I decided to go big and get a new PSU.
I've heard of modifying these PSU's, they cost $40 ish to buy. Then you have to modify them.
I got this one, pre-modified for $70 shipped. Its certainly a beast of a PSU. Hopefully it will serve me well.

Looks like im going to have to get the back half cage done now. This was taken after we got to the top of Ragged Mnt. I give the place a solid 6 on the way up. and a 9 for the top. 4 hours to get up there, 5 mins of some great crawling and then this happened. Sheered one ear off and ripped the bolt clean through the other. Had to use the rear winch to synch it together to get down. Other then that she preformed beyond my expectations.

Getting some vintage tamiya clodbuster action going for a friend of mine. Early model with Chevy grill and tailgate. Bone stock, even has the stock msc and ceramic resistor lol. It's been used hard, had a broken frame where one of the suspension arms bolts onto, the KC lights are gonzo, but it's a good runner and fun to jump over things with. Be a great trail truck to hike along with.

Awesome I was infatuated with this this when I was a kid.... At least when I was a smaller kid lol

Thanks. I've had it since new but forgot about it until a few months ago. It's been a fun build and even more fun to play with. It's totally uncontrollable, handles terribly, but the nostalgia overcomes that lol!
