What are you working on??

Started working on the back half of the rok beast. after adjusting the rear ride height, im in need of longer drive shaft smfh. on a good note the new aluminum trans case fo the plow truck showed up. now if I could just get the links made it would be done in no time. still haven't received the foams I ordered from china, so the new ascender sits in its box :(

from a machinist , im very impressed with how well they came out. considering what you had to work with. "thumbsup"

Got the body trimmed, and mocked up on the chassis. Going to make a steel bumper. sliders and back half similar to the beater in the next few weeks. I found a similar paint scheme except the roof and pillar behind the door will be black also.

Well its looking like Im shifting focus to the new ascender. Need parts for the others, after finding out today that my Subaru has a hole in its sub frame. gotta save every penny I can for the next car. Hate it when I almost get my 1/10th issues almost squared away just to have my 1:1 give my issues. ugh.

Ok soooo the motor came in for the 6s crawler build and its waaaaayyy to friggin big. Guess I should have paid attention to can diameter lol. So I ordered the 800kv which has a 36mm can.
It just barely fit in the summit!!
On a positive note, a summit with a 500kv motor running 6s is absolutely brilliant!! I don't think even a sensored motor is that smooth and its only a bit faster then 4s with the brushed motor.

Yesterday i took a few scrap pieces of lexan and sprayed a bunch of paint combos for the 66 ford so i could see the actual colors. There's a few that i really like, what are your thoughts?

Went with the CI closed cells . 3rd set and I love how the work.

Had to trim the foams a bit to weight the fronts. Stuff cuts like butter. Running around 2.5 oz in each.

should have it rolling by tonight

Update. Found some time to build out the trans and axles. Front was missing one knuckle screw, with 2 extra longer screws and one extra bearing. So far so good. Built out the chassis, Trans installed. Went with the trusty CC MMP and Tekin redline 17,5. First time with the second gen. Ive had 3 17.5's and one 13.5, have always been great motors. Running the stock spur and pinion. Axles are stock accept for the axle pinions are HD. Also installing an Axial sway bar kit. CC BEC is wired. Savox 200oz servo is in. Time for some pics.
