What are you working on??

I had that 1/8 toro in my summit. For the price you cant beat them. Ide buy their motors again for sure. had no problems with it. Didn't seem under powered. ran very smooth.
More photos of the Toro 2500kv pro 4 motor.
On first test it seems to be a bit faster than I anticipated. But does seem very smooth. I plan on playing with throttle curves a bit tomorrow.
Overall very happy with the motor. For $40 shipped from china in about a week. Not too bad.

Sorry for the confusion. The HobbyWing is the black kevlar wrapped armature. The Toro is the stainless, thinner but longer one. I took them all apart and cleaned, waterproofed everything.
The tolerances on the Toro construction seems spot on. I coated the sensor board and just the .05mm coating had to be scraped off in order to fit back together over the back cover.
Very nice machining.
I'm experimenting with throttle curves, making it crawl the speed I like. It is very smooth though.

Thanks for the advice Troy...... Damn smartass kids...:lmao:

Anyway.... I got to looking at my super squishy PitBulls and decided to figure out why they were so squishy.

It turns out that the inner foams were chewed pretty hard and were about 1/3 of their original size.
The outer foams are mint!

So I stole the one piece foams out of a set of Rip Saws and used them as inner foams.
They are about 1/2" taller than the originals were when they were new, so they fit very tight and it took some serious finesse to position them so that they didn't pucker.

I got them mounted up and there is a significant difference!
They are quite firm as far as supporting the rig's weight(particularly side-hilling), yet they still compress and conform like they should.

If this makes it perform like I hope it will, I think this may turn out to be the best performance improvement I've made to the ol' gal in a long time. :lmao:

If you look at the left rear tire on the Power Wagon in this pic, you'll see that on almost level ground it is pretty severely squatted.

After:

Finally put the lights in the tundra.

Got my hitec steering servo in, wired up my heyok bec for it, made my servo winch out of a solar d772 servo. Dead lifts my truck like nothing, mounted up my new wheels and tires, ordered my rear sway bar and shimmed up my front axle diff. Check out my build thread for pictures and details. Don't want to make the admins mad for double posting. Thanks!

Well , im waiting on parts for the Ford. While I wait on that , time to break out the winter beater for some snow fun. Got the slash 4x4 slapped together with Mud thrashers all the way around. Plus!!! Got my SC10B in the mail today. What a deal. $220, 3 sets of rear tires. 2 sets of fronts. and 3 sets nip rear wheels. Extra body plus the stock one. rtr. So happy with it I could giggle like a little school girl. Ive moved the track site up to my moms back lawn. Should be breaking ground in 5 or 6 months. Plans are still set for a huge short course and plenty of room for a crawler course. Cant wait till spring gets here!!!!

Got the son's wraith going. Liked it so much I just bought one for myself. Actually it was more for the cage. It fits on my RR10. Winter project!

Nice paint job!

Thanks! You should google Dornbox Bikes sometime. I used to be a good painter. I've got some really nice RC cars I painted when I had my vinyl plotter running and I was racing. So easy to make nice maskings and intricate paint schemes with clean lines. Someday I'll get my plotter up and running again.
