What are you working on??

Primed and ready to paint. The Valspar primer did awesome on test pieces I did, really made the top coats bright. Color tomorrow.

Working on getting the plow back up and running. Making new parts since after 2 years of abuse they got bent and whatnot.

Sending back my HH servo, again... Stripped gears once again.

The Deadbolt Wroncho is getting this motor once it arrives. 3500kv version, picked it up for $40 shipped.

TORO S-Pro4 BL motor for Short Course

Started the pinch on the chevy today, got a little crazy on the right side with the dremmel. All glued up and should be ready for filler tomorrow.

Got my body mounts done, body all trimmed up, head and tail lights fitted and bumpers mounted and tucked in. Just waiting for a day or night that my wife is gone so I can't try my hand at painting lexan. Just going with everything black. I wish I could get the top to be flat black just to break it up a little but can't find a flat black paint and have heard that it'll show up gloss anyway. I don't want to paint the outside so that's out. Any of you guys have any ideas for that? Thanks!
Ben

What if you lightly sand the outside with fine scotch brite? that would dull the lexan and make it look flat. Hard to get that look without spraying it on the outside.

That's an idea. I'll try it on a scrap piece first and see how I like it. Thanks!

So, the other day I finally decided on the Axial Nukizer lid for x-mas from the wifey-poo!
RPP wanted $27 and change MINIMUM for shipping.......
I'm a Tower Super Saver Club member, so I ordered there because it ships for free as a member.
Tower does not have the Axial inner fender set, so I'll have to get that from RPP(it's only $7-ish for shipping on that).

I haven't decided on a color just yet, though.

Then I tried to order some rod ends from RC4WD, but the order was "not found" when I tried to finish checking out......
Waiting to get an email response from them, because they DO NOT OFFER SUPPORT BY PHONE???????
WTF is the deal with that????

Ugh!!!
LOL

That's weird. I haven't bought a lot from rc4wd directly. but the things I have there was never an issue. Other then shipping my 2 items from 2 different warehouses.

It turns out that the order went through FOUR TIMES....
Which overdrew my wife's checking account and prevented 3 other x-mas orders from going through, due to the account being "overdrawn".

They did refund the 3 extra orders, but since it was bought through PayPal, it will take 5 to 7 biz days for the funds to get back to her account...

She is absolutely BULL$H!T PISSED!!!!

Also, PayPal has filed a grievance against RC4WD for not having customer support via phone after PayPal called RC4WD 12 times about this issue and got a voicemail every time. They were NOT impressed in the least... along with removing them from the PayPal Verified Seller's list for the same reason.

Nice going RC4WD.....
