I’m trying to think of cool ways to put some more weight on my truck and I was wondering. Has anyone seen or made beeftubes for a twentyfour scale truck? I am going to pull apart my stock axles tomorrow to see what some tubes might look like.

Edit: So I got excited and pulled apart my stock axle, as far as I can tell the ID of the axle is five mm and the thick part of the axle shaft is three mm. That does leave space for a tube, now to see if I can find anything. What do you all think?

I don't think that would add much weight. Metal tube (brass, steel, or ??), about 1mm (0.040") wall thickness and maybe 1" or so long.

Aluminum or brass axle housings with a brass diff. cover and maybe brass steering knuckles on the front would add substantial weight compared to beef tubes. I've only used beef tubes on 1/10 RCs and then that was more to stop breaking the weak plastic stock axles than for the weight.

Check out MOFO RC for brass axle housings.
