Tanis's Axial SWX build Ol' Reliable

Looking good as usual Nathan, looks like a twin to my build, we will have to have a SWX drag race at the next comp...looking forward to watching u kick my ass :)
Thanks Scott8)....but I think you'll get me in the drag race.....seeing as you have JRH's 21T compared to my 25T on the same battery;-)...I'll just hope you can't handle the speed and wipe out:ror::ror::ror:

So with a comp coming up this weekend on the coast, I decided I better get this thing done so I can tune it."thumbsup"

Mounted up my Comp Claws on the Vanquish DH's, took about the same amount of time as saying "supercalifragilisticexpealidocious":ror:

I really like how the silver hardware offsets the black inner wheel.

Had to move the dig servo mount back one hole and add a brace to the chassis. I really want to get it vertical and down lower, but this works great for now.

I dropped in the electronics and added body mounts

Bolted up my new CPE high clearance tierod

Mounted up my Axial XC-1 body, BENDER was on the ball when he sent me the red prepainted version:)"thumbsup""thumbsup" I'll also be painting up a clear one as soon as I'm happy with my setup. I notched out in the hood for the chassis, to lower it more and also at the rear shocks for clearance.

Just the right amount of articulation, the height of a tire.

After taking it for a little test crawl, I'm very happy with how it's working, dig works everytime, good balance, stable, suspension is smooth and fluid. Great work BENDER8)8)

Looks good t-, wanna do some crawlin after you give your truck a shake down on saturday? I like the swx, its lookin sharp. innovative way to use the stock dig servo mount too.

looks nice, how do you like the comp claws & cougars?
I love the comp claws, been waiting a long time for them to finally be released"thumbsup"

The Panthers are a good tire, proper foam setup is key to getting the most out of them, but even so, they aren't any better than the Claws. They aren't as predictable as the Claws for one thing. If you run a stiff foam, they do sidehill better, but then the Claws will leave them behind on the verts, and they are so thin, they rip very easily;-). That being said, I will keep working on them, haven't had them very long yet. I do like the Vanquish foams in the Panthers"thumbsup"

Right on Eddie!!!!! keep me posted, I'd like to make it if possible.8)

Very nice build!! I hope to reach that level very soon!
Thank you, it's a joy to drive.
Solid lookin crawler "thumbsup" do you have any pics of the tranny?
Only one I've really got Jim, I picked it up off a member here, but I'll be switching as soon as I get my hands on an Eritex unit.

I have been using some proto NWTT ones(similar to the Allweathers...sorta), but I am playing with the Vanquish ones lately to see if I can improve on the performance.
