Summit RC Rock Crawlers fort wayne, IN

This comp felt like a win for me just because I got out of the last gate completing the last course, thats a first. I was very excited. The new DMG/Axial crawler hooked up real well aside from the new Losi claws which needed the new worked out of them.

Thanks guys for organizing the event, I am looking forward to another one hopefully in a month. If I can help in any way, let me know. Grats again to you Jesse, good runs!

Mark

Thanks Mark! Let me know when the next time you plan on heading up to Summit and I'll likely meet ya there!

Planning on coming up to Summit on Sunday Feb. 8 around 2 pm if anyone else is interested in crawling. Want to try out a new set up on the Axial. Hope to see a couple of you there.

Reworking track

Just a quick heads up guys, I am going to be reworking the rock course in the next two weeks for the next comp. My goal is to make it balanced for both the 2.2's and the Mini Crawlers. I had a blast crawling with you guys. I am also going to be reinstalling the suspension bridge. My shock oil is still there!:ror: Joe, if you want to do some work on the concrete (paint, concrete) just let me know.

Just to let anyone who's interested, I'm heading to summit tommorow around 1pm to play on the rocks, If its still nice out, we might be able to run the outside course for a while!!

I got taxes and homework to do. I fiddled with my shock setup, so I'm dying to try it out. I need to make new bushing for the front this week too.
I should be ready next time.

Summit Course Revamp

Hey guys... I will be heading to the track this Sunday, Feb 15, to rework the course. My plan is to get it all done in a day. That way everyone has a chance to crawl on it before the comp. Mark, I'm going to do my best to make it easy for you to get in/out and also easy for you to see. I wouldn't mind running a course outside but they are calling for rain/snow this weekend. Quick question, has anyone bought the trailblazer scale conversion for their Scorpion? As soon as I get my new Losi crawler I am going to turn my Scorpion into a scale crawler. -Jeff"thumbsup"

Hello all, Caleb LeFavour here... Just thought Id drop in and say WUDDUP!... Man I wish I still lived up there so I could join in on some comps... Looks like the indoor course has started to take shape..."thumbsup"
Me and another fella here in Vincennes have found a couple spots to bash on, but it still doesnt match up with running in an actual comp. I havnt competed since I moved, but I have been busy with school and work, but its paying off... Believe it or not, Vincennes University has given me a PILOTS LICENSE!!... Maybe Ill get to come up this summer and run a comp or two.
Happy Crawling to all... Hope to see you soon.

Nice to hear from you Caleb.Glad to hear its going well for you at school.I guess this means you should be able to fly in for a comp once in a while......

Well, looks like the skies are no longer safe. Good to hear from ya bro. Crawl in that plane and fly up to Marion, we'll do some crawlin and then head up to Summit for a comp this summer.

New Course is Ready

Ok guys... I worked my butt off on Sunday and managed to rework the course. I do believe it's my best yet. One part of the course is three feet off the ground. There are four bridges. I have not yet put up the suspensed bridge. There are multiple entry points and numerous lines. I did my best to make it as balanced as possible; lines for the mini's and lines for the 2.2's. I put arrows on the ground to indicate hidden entries. There is nothing on the little landing on the concrete course. I HAVE TWO SPECIAL TOYS FOR THE LANDING! Just be patient boys. They will be ready for the comp. It's ready to crawl on. Get your practice in because come the 28th.... it's on! "thumbsup"

Well, I just sold my comp rig yesterday!!! BUT....... I just bought my buddies which is almost an exact replica of mine but minus the dig system!
I just need to get a new DNA dig here quickly and I'll be all set again, Gonna try the Hot Bodies Rovers out this time, The HPI grabbers I was using worked great but the more and more the rovers get broken in the better they seem to do!

Hey, whats up guys? Looking for some guys to hook-up with to do some crawl'n and some crawling compitions. "thumbsup"

Awesome man. Stay tuned for comp updates. It's been a little slow over the winter, but there are big and exciting things planned for this summer. I think we will be worth the trip. This weekend is a big carpet race, I think in a week or two a comp is scheduled. Hopefully one of our "Summit Rock-head Panel of Authorities" will chime in with hard data for you.
