Summit RC Rock Crawlers fort wayne, IN

Sneak peek... Naked MuMu 09

Have a few bits to finish up to make it legal-ish. To the best of my understanding, some nerf bars to make minimum width and body panels make it damn close. I didn't have enough material to be totally legit, I honestly don't feel where I'm a tad short will make a difference. If this thing works I'll go the rest of the way with it and get inside the rules. I'll go over it with Summit Rock authorities when the truck is rolling. I can think of a few guys that will have the tape measure ready, so I'm clearing the air now. Consider this a working prototype and exempt from formal competition.

Shocks and electronics need tweaked around a little. I'm geeked so far, hopefully it turns out like I envisioned it. I am so sick of running a damn body, this thing looks hard core, I love it. The dog may not hunt, but he sure do look gud.

More pics to come.

Does anyone have any stock axial foams? I need 2 to finish up my panthers before the next comp. Let me know. Thanks guys. "thumbsup"

The new ride is almost done. I'm waiting for my BEC to show up. I'm milling over getting a servo for it, but We'll have to see.

the temporary body panels didn't turn out too pretty. I need to get some .060 lexan and make some nice ones. it looks pretty BILLY right now. I'll have her ready for next week.

Ben

you need to quit fabricating and start practicing what you got........... :flipoff:

mine is coming along nicely........stay tuned!

"thumbsup"Still collecting parts..............spoke to Ken, we both getting ready to put the high speed cars away and relax and do some crawlin. Will see you guys soon.

Finally got the BEC last night. it installed real neat and works pretty slick. I broke down and ordered a brute servo today. I finally have all my excuses covered, but what do I bitch about now?

Ben

You'll love the amount of power you can push through the BEC, Plus if you have a castle link you can program the voltage up. They come preset at 5v and I kicked my voltage up to 6.7v and my JR9100T servo is AWESOME! Strongest servo I've ever had!

Also for anyone who cares, I'll be up at Summit most of the day on friday running the course, and at 7 I'll be running the On-road course but i'll be practicing on the rocks in between heats!

I can't wait to try it. First thing I did was hack about 10 inches off of the receiver wire, that thing had to be 12in long. I hope my servo shows up tomorrow. Last thing will be some new lexan. I might try Phils later this week. I have panels on it now, but damn, even I'm a little embarrassed. I look forward to Saturday.

Well as long as you know where the lexan is there! They never know where anything is at that darn store!!!!

You'll have to show me how to shorten up those wires, I've got way way way to much wire excess on my crawler right now and I'd like to clean it up. The darn BEC on mine is sitting right next to my RX so i have to bunch all the wire up just to get it to sit right!!

It's not too hard, you have to have a good iron and a steady hand.

will the doors open @9:00 a.m for the comp

That's when I plan to be there, that's when Seth usually opens.

Had fun today guys. Got to meet a few new guys, hopefully they had a good time. They ran damn good for being new, this summer should be exciting.

The cheater-Berg had moments of greatness. The driver showed he needs practice outside where it all counts. I think I'm reasonable close on hardware, practice is what's missing. Hope I can change that. I need to get some body panels going though, it's damn ugly all naked like that. I'm proud of MuMu today.

The Tekin update worked pretty good. It did feel a little more consistent right off of idle. Anyone running an FXR needs the 194 update.

I'll have to remember that when I get my hotwire in!! I need to do some serious tuning to my Tekin RS Pro in my VTA car!! I was getting motored like crazy today! My car felt fast but I was getting ate up on the straights! Oh , And a special BIG THANKS to Seth this evening for spending so much time trying to get my car to drive right!! Too bad it took till the last race to finally start handling right. But THANK YOU!!!
Jesse + Oval Racing = DISASTER!!! LOL!

Today was a blast, It was great to get to meet some of the new guys and crawl with them! The DNA rig worked great today also, I really need to get a stronger DIG servo though, I was getting pretty frustrated when going from DIG to 4WD cuz it just didnt have enought power to shift it when under pressure. I keep having to back up to get it to shift. Oh well! Everyone ran great today, Seth definitely set up some tough courses. Look forward to running with you guys next month and this summer too!!!

Bergs are Cheaters!! LOL!! I'll probably build one this summer though!!!:shock::lol:"thumbsup"

Thanks again for helping me get my dig figured out Jesse. Today was a good time. I am looking forward to the summer crawls!!!! "thumbsup"
