That steel cage weight up high is not good for steep climbing. I don't know why everyone puts the dual shocks in the rear seems like its more for looks, but im into rock crawling and use the stock shocks with no issues other then the springs are a bit stiff for my liking. I would swap out the bomber tranny for a wraith tranny and do a tummy tuck then lower the body down myself. for a motor I would buy a castle mamba combo or maybe the new hobbywing brushless combo.

I agree with you ... seems to be a good product (I'm already considering the purchase for another model), but for all other vehicles and types of use (rock crawler and extreme scaler) ...

To build a "Bombproof" transmission for the Axial RR10 - here's a parts list:

thanks Durok, would you like to give me the codes or links of the various components? (so as not to be wrong...) regarding slipper many people advise me to eliminate this directly... I know that the choices for the rims are endless, rather I will try to list those that could interest me and tell me what you think... with regard to that ESC I wanted to take it because I'm curious to try it in case you see that it's not good I will replace with a Mamba X that I already have at home...

Since you are buying from Italy, I am not certain what vendor you are buying from.

The Robinson Racing Gen3 Slipper Unit is not like normal units, it's nearly indestructible and many people just tighten it all the way down.

You should use a Robinson Racing "Absolute" hardened steel pinion gear with it.

"Robinson Racing #1564 - Axial YETI GEN3 Slipper Unit - 32 pitch 64T Blackened Hardened Steel Spur, aluminum backplate, slipper pad, steel hub, bearing, washers, decals and instructions included."

I coulden't stand the bombers stock tranny as it puts the motor weight up too high, swapping it out for a wraith tranny is the way to go IMO. easy i hear with the dmg adapter plate. I think people make skids that take care of this for you too.

the problem is that Supershafty make it only for Wraith and SCX ... it's not for Bomber / Yeti...

Yeah but the wraith trans can be used in the bomber.
Just need to modify the interior and get a custom skid plate or adapter.

I am using the other 2 Hot Racing parts you listed for my build - YET32M01 & YET32X01 - but you may use the original plastic parts as they are not important for strength reasons. I am also using the MIP driveshaft kit from SuperShafty. Instead of the Incision Motor Cam & Plate I am using Hot Racing parts as well - YET1806 & YET38A01.

My build with all these parts is just one of 2 Bombers I am preparing to assemble. I started with a Bomber kit 2 years ago, and after buying many aftermarket parts I realized I was close to having enough parts to build a second one, so I went ahead and bought the remaining parts to allow myself to do so.

One will be mostly using stock Axial parts and the Xtreme Racing carbon-fiber Bomber chassis rail kit and a Lexan body, and the other uses SSD axle housings and many Hot Racing parts.

I've never seen those complete transmissions from AliExpress before, they may be from GPM - As I'm unsure who makes them i would not buy them.

now I'm even more undecided... doing a little 'calculations in my pocket I saw that the complete Hot Racing transmission including MIP drives would cost me $ 383.61 (with motor mount Incision the cost is $ 376.79)... while the complete transmission for Wraith of Supershafty with 6mm outputs would cost me $ 368.61, so the price is very similar (the one with 5mm outputs would cost me much less)... for the skid in both cases I would like to change it (Xtraspeed in the case of Hot Racing transmission or Circle City in the case of Supershafty transmission). For the use that I will do I need a transmission that is practically indestructible (most of the solicitations in this type of races have their own on the transmission...), and at the same time that it is heavy because by regulation the minimum weight of vehicles is 8lbs (perhaps the limit will be lowered to 7lbs in 2019, but it is still not safe...) and the secret to have a competitive means is to have non-suspended masses light and have more weight in the lower part of the suspended masses (therefore skid and transmission ..). As for the interior I will still be obliged to change / redo them because with those printed in lexan you lose points... between the Hot Racing or the 2 of Supershafty which would be the best choice considering the one written above?

SSD wheels are the best for a budget, they are no worse in any way than the more expensive wheels

However, I do really like my set of GearHead RC wheels, mine are of the EZ-Loc series and are wide, light, strong, and very easy to assemble - you can get them in all-aluminum or part Delrin:

LockedUp RC are very nice, but require more screws than the GearHeads and are the most expensive listed - I have a set in 1.9" and they cost me an arm and a leg!

I'm not really a fan of those RC4WD Rocker wheels, but they are probably the lightest of all you have listed.

I have an aluminum set of RC4WD 1.7" wheels that are just fine.

My recommendation is a set of GearHead EZ-Locs, they come in various styles.

I run both SSD and GearHead wheels in 2.2 flavor. Both are great looking, stay together , and hold the tires. Between Super Swampers TSXL and Hyrax no issues.
