Rant Thread

Man how stupid do you have to be, and to get free removal!! Just cause the label doesn’t say "do not apply to hair" doesn’t mean it’s safe to do so. The world should just leave her that way as a cautionary tale.

I can’t believe she goes on to warn anyone else not to substitute gorilla glue for hairs styling products.

So this why everything you buy today has a 698 page owners manual and 697 of those pages are the "Warning"s, "Caution"s, and "Do Not"s. Then there is 1 page that actually tells you how to use the product. Of course the very first page has the obligatory "IMPORTANT: READ BEFORE USING" in bold, capitals, and as large as will still fit on the page.

Of course probably less than 1% of the people actually read the manual.

99% of the "Warning"s, "Caution"s, and "Do Not"s are just plain common sense which the whole world seems to be lacking these days.

And that's my rant for today . . . . . . . .

Common sense is not so common these days my friend.

Why the hell are U-bolts so damn expensive!? Just spent $95 after tax on 4 square U-bolts. Can't even reuse the damn things, at least "they" say you shouldn't.

Right? I spent a bit over $100 to have some square u-bolts custom made (odd dimensions) but my wife had a set made locally for $60. After seeing MANY sets of $20-$30 autoparts store u-bolts strip and/or break, I guess that's just the price to pay. I'm really only complaining because the USA made ones aren't coated.

I've heard getting them made is cheaper, but with snow coming here I need them today since one side doesn't have any and the other side has old ones. Next time I'll plan ahead and have some made.

Things that chap my hide:

Posts that have every single sentence ending in an exclamation point (!)

Posts that contain the painful overuse of quotation marks ("ARGH")

And scattering a bunch of "???"s in with the "!!!"s... That's a wild ride and it leaves me not knowing how to respond. I find myself thinking: Was that a comment or a question?

What the mother fornication?!?

How is math racist and a function of white supremacy?
I can see this argument in statistics, but not actual math.

Someone needs to explain this one to me... It seems like these people have no interest in bring minority disadvantage students up to the bar, but instead, lowering the bar, and blaming racism.

Oh lord:roll:

I'm scared for the US's future if this is the kind of people being raised

One of the reasons I’m looking to move away from Oregon.. I thought California was bad.. these people up here are so out to lunch it’s not even funny. Who votes to decriminalize hard drugs? Seriously..

Haha yea? I’m not sure where my next stop will be, I just hope it’s not half as bad as the far out tree huggers up here. Beautiful place.. don’t get me wrong. Nothing like it, but I can’t hang.

Also as we speak, nearly every tree in my apartment complex is toppling due to extreme amounts of ice built up and lack or tree maintenance. Good thing I’ve got full coverage on both my vehicles.. I have a feeling I’ll be digging one out of rubble in the morning.

Our cars made it out ok, but some were not so lucky. At least the people came together to try n clear some of this mess up, since maintenance couldn’t due to not having the correct permits to run a chainsaw. I’ve never experienced a tornado before but the best way I could describe this was a frozen tornado. Nearly every tree in our complex toppled or dropped a large branch off it.

Wow, looks bad. Stay safe. We had an ice storm like that in the Poconos a few years ago. My friend got hit hard where he lives. Without power for almost two weeks and had to take a chainsaw with him when he went to get gas as there was a chance more limbs would break and he'd have to cut some just to drive home.

He was also getting gas for the generator at a self-serve station one day and the transformer blew on the pole across the street from him. Here he is putting gas into a container and it's raining purple sparks.

Permits? Chainsaw?
Never heard of such an animal. Up here we just fire them up and go to work.

Glad to hear you and yours made it through unscathed. "thumbsup"

Being that it is an apartment complex, I'll bet it's an insurance thing. They probably have to get a licensed tree company to do the work.

I have Hulu and it worked fine until about 3 weeks ago. Now it won't load and I get login errors. It works on my laptop but not on my three TVs... Wtf?!?!?

I wonder if it isn't playing nicely with Fire TV all of the sudden.
