Post your Battery Finds Here!!

I have two batteries for my Losi Trekker. Both are Nanotech 2S Lipos, one 300mah and one 260mah. Both are mounted just above the servo between chassis plates. I am running the stock esc/rx with JST plug conversion. I have a brushless ESC and 2000kv outrunner I plan on installing soon.

As a new guy I have a suggestion. Could some one edit the first post in this thread for stock ESC battery capacity. I am assuming from the posted packs that it will take 2s. And did I read right that the ESC is equipped with a limo cut off?

Could somebody recommend a good, safe, yet inexpensive lipo charger for Turnigy nano-tech 180mah 2S 25~40C Lipos?

Are there any updates on what and were to buy lipo's for the trail trekker.

I am using 450 mAh lipos from hobbyking. Have been using them before in my Blade 130X helicopter and they fit also fine in the Trail Trekker. Cheap and good as almost all Turnigy Nano Tech battery. The only thing you have to do is to solder the right connector to the Trail Trekker.

Turnigy nano-tech 450mAh 2S 65-130C Lipo Pack (E-flite Blade 130X)

You can use this charge lead: 6 x Parallel JST-PH Charge Lead for E-flite UMX Series 2S Lipoly

My suggestion: Buy 5 batteries and the charge lead. Cut 1 of the 6 connectors from the lead, solder it to the Trail Trekker's esc and be happy :)

yes, you can use 2S batteries out of the box. No modifications are needed.

Is there a USB charger available for these micro lipos? This would be handy to take along when traveling with my Trekker instead of dragging along my big charger.

I doubt there are any that are USB powered. There likely wouldn't be enough amps via PC USB. You could always buy a smaller charger with wall wart power supply. there are smaller out there, but My Hobby King Ecc06 is small enough to travel with. I usually use an old PC power supply or 12v DC battery, but for micro lipo use a wall wart or 12v laptop PS would likely be plenty.

Btw I'm Willing to bet something could be easily made. I've seen USB chargers for 1S micro lipos for a micro helli. It shouldn't be hard to make something for 2S that balances

Back in my xmod days I used a small laptop brick style charger from battery space. I wired up a micro deans and plugged into the xmod. I still have it somewhere. Anyway I did a quick search and for the $ this may be worth a try.

Personally I'd like to see something like a small balance charger that can handle 1s,2s,3s and get power from AC and DC so you can charge from a wall or from the car
