They're not doing grills in every color. Only black and blue.

Interesting. I swear i remember them saying they were only doing black and that is why the kits all came with black grills, but i suppose this is another way to make a little money off us.Listing on the site shows all the colors for the HWO grill.
Thanks. I'll be using the Incision Pro Rod Ends. Not sure if they are the same length. We can figure it out right now fairly simply.
The stock link is 52.73mm End to End (not eye to eye FYI).
VP Metal Link Ends are 22.29mm each so 44.58mm total.
52.73 - 44.58 = 8.15mm link/spacer area needed to fill the gap.
HTH
Ah I do remember that now that you say it as I had the same problem.Too funny! My Amazon order of Treps arrived about 5 minutes ago! As Jato probably remembers, I have a tire fetish...![]()
First, it drives me bonkers that Vanquish doesn't know the difference between grill and grille. The mesh in front of the radiator is a grille.Interesting. No worries! I can’t wait to see the rig sitting on the wheels. Thanks Pile Driver, these will work great.
That looks good! The matte paint looks so much better than the gloss molded parts. I gotta do this.I managed to salvage my driver helmet after much sanding, priming, and painting. Not looking too shabby.

Welcome.Thanks.
The local hobby shop deals in a lot of those table top miniature games and has a staggering selection of model paint. My buddy who runs the shop gave me a quick rundown on what would work best after I stared blankly at the giant wall of paint for a while.
The all black interior is the thing that drives me nuts. If Vanquish molded the driver in white, it would provide the much needed contrast to look 100X better.
I believe the interior is ABS so I would think lacquer thinner would soften the plastic depending on the exact formulation. Anything with acetone turns it into goo pretty quickly. The easiest way would probably be to prime over the existing paint and then repaint.I started painting some of the details on my Optic with Tamiya lacquer paints. Will lacquer thinner remove unwanted paint and not damage the plastics?
Don't want to repaint. For example, I added some silver touches to the fuel cell. I accidentally got some silver on the black parts. I just want to remove small blotches of paint. If I start painting the black then I'm going to get black on silver and it'll be a neverending process to repaint over my mistakes.I believe the interior is ABS so I would think lacquer thinner would soften the plastic depending on the exact formulation. Not a bad idea. I was able to scrape some of it off, but there has to be some chemical that will remove it...I know that feeling.
Just dot a black sharpie on the dabs of silver. Not perfect but way better than stray blobs of contrasting color on the black.
