Told ya  I picked up a pump yesterday, set my rear shock to 205 psi and my front to 95, just to try it out. Also, the one I got has a knob on it behind the one you use to tighten it to the valve, so you can loosen the smaller knob and pulls the valve in the pump away from the valve of the shock so you only loose the air that's in the pump line, not from the shock.Welp, as usual your guys were right. Shock and fork were both down about 10psi, derp. Thanks for the tip!
I'm going to order a set of volume spacers for my rear shock too, too linear of a curve for me. I have to give up small bump compliance so my fat ass doesn't bottom it out on bigger hits.
X2
I'm running a Fox RP23 with a Vorsprung corset on it. Volume spacers are on the list for me as well for my portly self. With that corset on, I'm already running about 225psi and still hitting bottom way too often.
I'm 220 + gear, and my Ellsworth runs a fairly high leverage ratio (2.63). I just need to get some volume spacers in to tune the compressed end of the stroke. I definitely don't want to go back to the stock can, the Vorsprung is SO much better!
Also, I should lose some weight...
For all you guys that are using Strava, I have heard that thieves are using Stava to locate people with nice bikes to steal them (the bikes, not people).
As in, hiding on the trails you ride and ambushing you?
I am sending my Float CTD to Avalanche Racing to try out their tune. I have been somewhat please with Push Ind in the past. But, I have a buddy that LOVES the work done by Avalanche.
A brand new Pike on the front, soon to be Avalanche in the rear... excited to get my bike back together. "thumbsup"
I picked up a bike a month ago to get into riding. I have about 24 miles of singletrack only a half mile from my new house. Looking forward to getting my ass kicked. It's been years since I have rode a bike and I have never ridden single track. Now just need the snow to melt.
Fuji Outland 1.0 29er, Reba fork, XT components, ect. Should do the trick.
Welp, as usual your guys were right. Shock and fork were both down about 10psi, derp. Thanks for the tip!
