Completely avoiding my statement. Tell me how the Integy skid will work exactly like my risers, and why an aluminum skid is preferable.

You said the stock skid had a lot of flex on the wraith did you not??..aren't you offering a product to resolve that issue or did I read it wrong?

You're half right. Too bad you didn't read it more closely.

Tell me why an aluminum skid is better than a plastic one...

Once again you insinuate that we are all blind followers and only hang high priced parts on our rigs and blindly do what the vendors say. You are wrong and your insinuations are insulting. Many of us on this site are engineers. Many of us have years of experience with 1:1 off roading in one form or another. I came from Jeeping and have owned CJs, YJs and a couple TJs, all modified and ran by both me and my wife. NIRC runs a couple events a year at a 1:1 ORV Park where they also run scale comps or GTGs. SCRC does similar things as I am sure our members do across the nation.

Our vendors are experts in their own right and if their product or product support doesn't work and is not an improvement over stock, they disappear pretty fast from the RCC landscape.

So you worked on hot rods. that makes you determine that none of us know our ass from a hole in the ground. Did you have the same attitude? No one knows anything and you have to prove it to your self first? If so, I am damn glad you never worked on one of my rigs or hot rods.

Tell you what. Take your dream sleeper rig, build it and tune it they way you want with no input from those of us that have already walked route. When you are all done reinventing the wheel, take it to an event, run it alongside of one of the members rigs and see if you can even complete a stage.

I haven't knocked the vendors and have already mention I support some of them and will be in the future as well..so lose that argument.

I worked on many types of cars boats and motorcyles and rc vehicles.
And yes I like to know for a fact something someone is telling me is going
to work for me or is a better way than I may have had planned...Sometimes I go with someone elses suggestions having thought about it and found their way to be better..Sometimes I thought it was a crock of BS and did it my way..And its too bad yu would think you wouldn't want me to work on your hot rods..My restorations won many 1st place car shows and many drag races..Like I said im not the best at anything but what I do know I know it very well.

Wish I could test my truck against some others..as far as not making the first stage I wouldn't bet on that..Stock rigs have been known to put some well built rigs back in the trunk of the car...So I wouldn't bet on that..Driving skill plays a huge part and to think I would lose because I never competed is not a wise statement.

And whats insulting is people trolling me because I do things my way/

Its been insinuated I was a noob, I think all my rigs are better than anyone elses, I think a stock rig is better than and can beat a high dollar rig in everything, ive been accused of being jealuose and poor because I cant afford the high dollar stuff...Mr fancy corvette man said that..lmao

lol..you want to insults and assumptions and insinuations and accusations then read what they say to me over a simple 3s 2s argument and my wanting to do a fun sleeper thread.

One day some of you will see it like it is and not how people are trying to perceive it.

Pros and cons on that really...I don't think the question is requiring a solid answer more so than a tactic from you to see what I know...I wont use an aluminum one actually for my reasons..I was just being an ass like you were in your un called for statement.

yep..stock rigs have won competition events against some better rigs.

Im thinking more driver skill but they have survived and won before."thumbsup"

Sort of why I think I would have a shot of at least doing well or finishing with my honcho..Its not un reasonable to think that could be very well possible...is it?????

You must be 1 bad mofo to be in the car restoration game for only 10 years and win many 1st places . Btw parking lot car shows don't count .

How do you know this if you don't compete ? Hear say?

The one about your foot in your mouth?

Maybe shooting yourself in the foot is more to your liking.

Still looking forward to a build with tech in it that doesn't get deleted before you can drop knowledge on the ignorant masses.

sure they do..What car show do you go to that's not a local or on a national level in some cases...Not all of them have won.I wasn't the only one with a hand in a restoration..some took 4 guys over 1 yr to complete..hard to find parts sometimes..But if the judge felt the car our customers entered was a winner than it won..thats kind of how that works you know.

Did you all know pat riley who coachd the Miami heat was a customer of ours and has a car collection of over 100 cars?..Ive done work for him..Ive done work for Alonzo mourning and keith askins..All Miami heat affiliated people..Ive done work for middle class folk as well...Some Jobs were to just touch up an older restoration and some were full body off restorations.
I specialized in 1955 to 1966 ford thunderbirds..A car pat riley sold Alonzo mourning was a 66 thunderbird roadster with a 428 dual quad motor in it...We had to cut the the roadster cover back 6 inches and move his entire seat back the same so he could even fit comfortably in the car.,,keith askins got an engine detail with the proper tags and painting to his 65 thunderbird...My corvette experience started when my boss teamed with a corvette guy..I didn't like that merge at all but did my job and learned corvettes for a short while...I think vettes are garbage

I was an engineer for a Nuclear Power company that delivered power to most of the Chicago Land area and to a significant portion of the northeast. Doesn't make me an expert on RC Crawling. That came from listening, looking and learning from the more experienced brethren on RCC and trial and error on my part. I had advice given but I didn't listen and still bought stock parts and Integy parts for replacements. After throwing that money away, I learned.

You constantly harp on VP parts and high end stuff. So you have a problem with Currie Axles but you like Integy axles. Based SOLEY on the couple hundred buck in difference in cost. That is the equivalent of you buying your restoration or performance parts at Pep Boys because their house brand parts are cheaper. That is why I would never allow you to work on my rigs.

Want to see what VP axles would prevent? This is a custom Taco chassis built by another member on RCC that I bought and further modified. Axle was Stock housing with Beef Toobs, Axial CVDs, VP Chubs and Knuckles. This happened at the end of a run when I wedged the left front tire in between 2 rocks. Snapped the axle housing. Would never have happened with a VP or a few of the other offering out there now. It would have happened with an Integy as we have seen before.

Lol, i started this thread as a joke. Now it is like all of the threads 6Shirly9 is involved with, a black hole sucking everything near it into the depths of un-reason.

Sorry folks for the added brain drain.

No idea who any of them are . Prob none tho have worked on their own cars or even understand how they work .

Im not against VP if you need it and can afford it or just even want it...Ill say it for the 500th time now and 2 times most recently...For the guy playing in his back yard with his first rc they don't need recommended a pair of 125 dollar axles and a 150 dollar servo and anything else they cant afford to have a fun decent performing truck..I have 20 dollar integy axles ive been using for about 2 months now..Are you disappointed I haven done a thread on how they broke on me already and how much garbage they are...Well sorry to disappoint you but they haven't...And im sorry people have broken VP axles before and will again..When you get wedge between a rock and have the power some of you have and have no choice but to try and power your way out you may break stuff..Ive had my wheel wedged before and said to hell with it and just kept pulling the trigger to go no place but I didn't break anything...I think if I was using a 3s that may have been a different story..But it happens to the best of parts and always will..It just costs you more replace your parts than someone else... VP axles aren't indestructible unfortunately..One of the trolls on here even said that and wouldn't buy another set until VP fixed the problem and was even told by a VP representative not to buy any more of their axles until they resolved a problem they were having with them...Don't tell me VP is not breakable because I don't believe that and anyone that does is is ignorant in my eyes...Yes thay are better than axial axles and integy axles but the price you pay for them I would hope they would be...If I have a problem with my axles ill try a different set..but so far not thinking ill have to do that just yet.

Sounds like your confidence is waning.

If you truly were out to "help" people and not in it for the attention, you'd be plugging along showing everyone what to do. Instead, you go full poopy-pants and delete your own threads before you get to the so called "good stuff".

I say put up or shut up. Forum trolling and attention whoring just adds fuel to the fire you started.

I'll even make you a deal. If you can create an actual build thread with actual useful tech (not just hypocritical bolt on crap) and explain the why's and how's of what you are doing, minus the snarky and abrasive comments aimed at other members and vendors, I will patrol it daily and work with a mod to keep it free of any snide remarks from other members. You'll also need to post video updates of the rig being put through its paces.

If you do not have the confidence to agree to that, then you rightly deserve the disrespect you've been getting.
