I was an engineer for a Nuclear Power company that delivered power to most of the Chicago Land area and to a significant portion of the northeast. Doesn't make me an expert on RC Crawling. That came from listening, looking and learning from the more experienced brethren on RCC and trial and error on my part. I had advice given but I didn't listen and still bought stock parts and Integy parts for replacements. After throwing that money away, I learned.
You constantly harp on VP parts and high end stuff. So you have a problem with Currie Axles but you like Integy axles. Based SOLEY on the couple hundred buck in difference in cost. That is the equivalent of you buying your restoration or performance parts at Pep Boys because their house brand parts are cheaper. That is why I would never allow you to work on my rigs.
Want to see what VP axles would prevent? This is a custom Taco chassis built by another member on RCC that I bought and further modified. Axle was Stock housing with Beef Toobs, Axial CVDs, VP Chubs and Knuckles. This happened at the end of a run when I wedged the left front tire in between 2 rocks. Snapped the axle housing. Would never have happened with a VP or a few of the other offering out there now. It would have happened with an Integy as we have seen before.
