New SSD SCX10 axle housings

to be honest i wasnt super impressed with how well the screws snugged up on both ends of the truss. the middle one is great, but the side ones could use a bit more material to grab IMO.

The lack of center screw probably contributed.. That's a lot of force to be put on one end.

You can't use the center screw with a axle mounted servo?

I would be willing to bet that's it. The force that is put on that truss needs that center support. No matter what axle you are using

There isn't a top hole on my truss, I am running the axle mount servo.

Cheers Jacob

Yes there is a hole in the top of the truss and you can put the center screw in when using the servo plate.

So you assembled the axle incorrectly and that has casued the failure.

Nobody else has had this failure because they assembled them correctly.

Mine will be here tomorrow, but sadly I have to wait until I get the servo mount to put them on. RPP was out of stock on the servo mounts.

Ordered it from another shop but so far no info on shipping.....

The stock servo mount won't work ??? I know, I've already asked but I can't help myself. Anyone know why they built the housing in a way you can't use a stock part to mount the servo. I'm guessing there is a reason, would just like to know...

If you drill new holes in the old plate it will work. But out of the box it won't fit. Drill holes. Countersink holes screw to existing truss.

Well ya......

so you have to BUY the SSD mount....."thumbsup" why else......

SSD keep the great stuff comming.......

I dunno, they only ask a measly 5 bucks for the thing.. I'd imagine the spacing of the stocker didn't play nice.

One could take a drill to their stock plate if they were so inclined.
