New SSD SCX10 axle housings

i went through all those issues when i put on the curry's. so i dont expect any troubles with these on my new build.

No i didn't try that yet,as I'm building and I'm not at that stage yet,but i don't think that would matter if i reverse my throttle .
If i did that then the tire would rotate backwards and the the drive shaft would rotate the RIGHT the right way...
The diff gear are flip the opposite side, not like the Axial diff gears...
It's not a big deal i can still go forward but the drive shaft turns LEFT rather the rotaing RIGHT......should make sense...lol..."thumbsup"

You are over thinking it. You just have to get your motor/esc/radio set up right.

Put it together and jab the throttle. If it goes the wrong way, reverse the throttle channel on your radio or if your ESC has the option, do it there. If neither one of those is possible with your electronics, you could just reverse the leads on the motor.

SSD D60s with optional Cs, Knuckles, Diff cover, and Titanium links"thumbsup"

-Rear Lockouts
-Brass tubes
-Brass or Delrin Bushings for the Pro knuckle chub pivot/ connection point
-Sale your rod end ball's separate in like a 10pk or make a rod end to accept 4mm grub/ set screws.

Bananaclip out..............

Anyone have any luck with any modifications to the diff cover? They seem to hang up quite frequently. Any help would be appreciated.

Buy the aluminum diff cover. It is angled perfectly at the bottom to assist with sliding over objects. They are twice as thick as any diff cover i have owned. Good shit"thumbsup"

I still say $100 per axle is rather expensive for just portal boxes without axles. The R1 portals even after replacing the outer shafts are about half as much. They are durable and cheap to upgrade and would still leave you with your SCX axles to sell or use for another project.

I am using the SSD SCX axle housings with the portals in a Mighty FC build which looks closer to the 1:1 version than the R1 portals would look.

I am not trying to put down the R1 Portals. I am not disputing that they work great and that they are lower cost. I have a SCX10 with the R1 axles in it.

Just want to do something new and different.

Anyway back on topic, the SSD housings do look great.

I've actually seen your build. Looks awesome. I'm not knocking the RC4WD or SSD stuff. If your are axles fully built and you want to keep the hardware the portal hubs would probably be the way to go. Yes back on topic id really like these housings for my spare axles for a 2nd build. I'll probably wait for the brass tubes to be available
