I was soo happy...took two and then they ask 40$ shipping for items you can easily fit in an envelope.. Mmmh...will wait until the craze is over.

I dont expect their shipping charges to change. You may need to wait until other distributors get them.

They likely dont want to ship these in an envelope because 1st there is a weight limit and it would be quite unprotected.

Yes...its a pain to order things from US in the moment .... and "unprotected " ?? its a ESC not an egg...if they cant withstand shipping its maybe not a good idea to put it in a crawler :lmao:

A crawler is a lot safer than a mail sorting machine.

Can someone enlighten me on the KV/pole limitations they listed?

2200kv limit 14 pole (Revolver), 2500kv limit 10 pole (Revolver 10p), 2700kv limit 6 pole and 4 pole (Crawlmaster BL, 6 shooter and Puller Pro)

All of the current HH revolvers are 14 pole

I have a 2500KV (14pole) revolver, would this be over the limit? Im not sure if having more or less poles puts a motor over these limits?

Seems like maybe the less poles there are the higher the KV limit. Any insight would be appreciated "thumbsup"

Anyone got any info on this?? I sent an email to the company asking the same question. I'm using the 2500kv 14 pole version with my SW4 and figured it would be no issue but haven't heard back yet...

Just got word from Justin at HH: The snubnose 14P 2500kv is less likely to have trouble that the normal 540 sized revolver but it's not recommended (whatever that means?). The 10P versions work much better with this controller.

Thanks for the update Lashlee.

Maybe that means the 14p 2500kv isnt going to run as smoothly(?) as opposed to just overheating or letting the magic smoke out.

Ugh! Still waiting for my shipping notice. I was really hoping to have it before the holiday :-/

Mine hasnt shipped either, I hope they're just busy as I've had some orders where their inventory count was off and they've just removed items from my order with no notice. But I'll wait another day before I bug anyone.

Just a quick update, My order still hasn't shipped so I reached out to Holmes Hobbies to make sure it would eventually ship.

They responded saying that they didn't oversell or anything they just got swamped with orders which lead to a few issues with the shipping labels and shipping supplies, they are also waiting on more wire. This has slowed down how many orders can be shipped and they say it make be a week or 2.

Next batches going up will be much smaller to avoid these issues in the future.

I was lucky enough to make the cut and mine are scheduled for delivery on Tuesday.

Also, if you didn't see the IG post, it is recommended to not run 4s on motors higher than 1400kv until the program comes out for adjustment.
Looks like I'll be limited to 3s on my c3 build until then. I'll leave the MambaX on my C2 rig till ten as well...

...and are any of you guys planning to run this esc with an outrunner? I'm a little confused as to if the "silent operation with most motors" part is just supposed to be the esc itself, or is it supposed to actually make the motor run quieter? If it can quiet an outrunner, I'll buy one for sure! I'd love to see/hear a running video of this esc with an outrunner and hear how it compares to a mamba series esc as far as performance goes.

This one will silence a Revolver. They have a video on their YT showcasing it.

But it's also very specific about poles/kv that it can run. I think 10 pole 2200kv is the limit. More poles or higher kv and there's issues.

From what I've gathered of their explanations about noise, it's coming from the motor but via the esc and is caused how the esc is modulating the signal. Based on that Holmes has indicated that motors can be silenced by the right esc build. Apparently it sacrifices some efficiency/heat but that's not really a concern in crawlers.

Exactly that...its a refined version of what already existed ...like the one Voodoo brew posted . Everything above 2000Kv isnt going to work well.
