Since I down sized my mountain bike fleet to the Am and DH bikes, I'll be getting my driveline and exhaust sooner. I'm looking at some hard anodized aluminum sprockets and a DID ERT2 chain. The only thing I can't figure out is do I go with Protaper or Sunstar? I was reading up and I don't know if the PT is hard anodized.

And I can't wait until my bike is done. I haven't ridden in at least 6 months.

78 degrees here in mecca today, just so happened I got off work early too. Went and grabbed a battery for the DRZ (they've went way up too, ouch!) gave it a good once over, made a small adjustment to the rear suspension, checked all the fluids and set my tire pressure and went out for two hours of moto therapy. I was ready to hang up the leathers and sell it a couple weeks ago since I've gotten back into bicycling, not so sure now. Damn I needed a good rip on the motard!

I've got my pipe and silencer, now I'm just debating whether or not to get my driveline today or wait a little longer for my next check. Oh, and I found out it's about $110 for a full carb rebuild. Plus, it get's the float set and jetted to the new pipe. Maybe in another two weeks or so I'll be riding again, hopefully.

Here's some pics of me back in my SoCal desert racing days:

Before kids and moving to Washington state, I was doing a lot of desert and enduro racing. I haven't been on a bike in over five years.
My kids are getting old enough now where I'll probably get them riding and get a bike for myself. Probably a plated XR650R or a CRF450X.

My brother in laws 1969 Honda Trail 50. One family bike since new, it was his grandpa's. He had it restored to new condition 15 years ago and then put it under his workbench. Still has restored black and yellow license plate but reproduction 69 tags. Last month I took it out and cleaned it, got it running again, now I've been starting to put it in shows.

Pic is from last weeks Custom and Classic motorcycle show.
I was surprised how much attention it received in the sea of Harley's and Customs.
