Mamba Firmware V2.02

I had a sensor fail on a motor today. 4 pole tekin 1400kv, running 4s in an scx102.

I honestly could not tell the difference between sensored and sensorless. Even when bound up it never cogged"thumbsup"

Mine acted the same way. It was the firmware. But even the new firmware that I tried (the version before the current release) needed to be on the correct settings or it cogged. I forget what that setting was though. It might have been sensored instead of Smart Sense. I forget how Castle does their settings. I'll try to remember to looking into it when I get home.

I honestly didn't notice any difference from v1.7something and v2.02. I don't recall having the option for sensored only. I thought the 3 options were brushed, high power brushed and smartsense.

So on rock race mode it says set to reverse type. So I set my drag brake to 10%.
Anything more than 10% it will switch to crawler mode. Does this mean it also switches to crawler reverse?

That's because it's Tekin...

There's Brushed, Smart Sense Brushless, and Sensored Only Brushless. Smart Sense would not work at all for me. Sensored Only got rid of most of the cogging. Try setting it to Sensored Only if you haven't already.

That is correct. When the Aux Wire drag brake rises above the Drag Brake set in the Castle Link it will be in Crawler Reverse; when it is below it will run at the Castle Link Reverse Type setting (With Reverse or Without Reverse).

Replaced the sensor board on my HH Puller Pro and all is good.

@Robert: ist it right when i set the aux to "max power adjustment" i cant set the gound power with the link?

With the link i can set it from 0% to 100% but thre is no difference how i set it.

i have the aux on an prop channel and it works perfect but i want to set the ground power a Little lower like 50-70%. And from that the Chance to set it 10 to 100 with the aux.

i hope you can follow my english.

I think I understand what you are asking.

Any time you use an AUX wire it overrides the setting set in Castle Link. If the AUX wire isn't getting a signal, then the ESC uses the setting set in Castle Link.

The value used from the AUX wire always scales over the full range of 0-100% and there is no way to limit that.

If you want to control the power going to the ground without limiting top speed, try setting punch control. It controls the speed the the ESC applies power to the motor to make it less jumpy. Unfortunately that setting is not available on the AUX wire.

@Robert: thanks for your answer. I understand what you mean.

the reason i asked is, i have 3 trial trucks with Micro X all max low geared ( near 60:1) . Motors are 21.5 on 2s and im waiting for a 1900 1406. the possible top Speed is to high. That is why i set the aux to Max power adjust and hoped that i can limit the ground power via link.

fact is: the new 2.02 Software is now the best what i have.

but there is one ting that is not so good. It`s the brake strengh. The Novaks were way better.

Interesting.... I guess that is one way to do it, but that would burn a lot of power.

Burned up a lot of power, and a lot of one phase. 3 to 6 watts of pure heat in one phase adds up. The two pole motors had terrible passive brake, so it was really the only method to get decent drag brake.

I just updated the firmware on a mamba micro x and it fixed an issue I originally thought I was having with my HH 2200kv motor. Spoke with Justin at HH and he was super helpful.

Good to hear. The past 25 motor returns have been 24 good motors that were dirty sensor ports or simply having issues with another brand of controller.

Yup. I always had thought in the back of my mind "it cant be the motor". I had always suspected the esc. That def. was the case. Thanks again for your great customer service and for offering a great product!

Is there a solution to the motor noise issue? Have a HH Puller Pro 3500kv and it is super noisy after the firmware update.

Can somebody help me get my 4px setup? I can't seem to get it right? Have the mmx setup with crawler mode over 10%. It is always in crawler though no matter where i turn the dial. If i unplug the aux wire it goes to rock racer.
