Losi 1/10th Roller

I have a question for Rich.

Will Losi ever sell prepainted crawler bodies for the MRC or the 2.2 ?

Something like this:

I love the paint on that body and could never paint that nice.

Thanks for the compliment but at this point no. The paint scheme pictured is "my' paint scheme however I'd be happy to provide you with the contact info for my painter "Bradley paint" as long as you don't copy it exact ;-)

Curious, where will it be manufactured? Not that it matters as I'll be ordering one anyway but it was nice to know that my XX and XX-T were made domestically.

....Is it May yet?

THIS JUST IN:

I'm all set to be rocking this rig at the East Coast Championships  in CopperHill, TN. April 3rd-5th. I can't wait to see what the rig and I can do against the best in the East...

Ahh, my cover is blown... be nice to my stunt double
Actually, I was really looking forward to the TGRC event, but I don't get the opportunity to go East very often. I will definitely have to make the trip out there for one of your events. I will be at most/all of the other WEROCK events too

I'm planning on getting one of these when they are released, few friends are as well... Looks great, and I've always liked the Losi products. Still have my IWC Edition Street Weapon!

Some thoughts on motor setups for this, gotta plan on it now so I have things ready when it ships!

Those of you on the team testing these, you're running the Losi brushless system on them all? Anyone running brushed, if so, what setup(motor/esc/battery)? On the brushless end, what motor are you running? On the losi site it says 17.5t, but I've seen posts in here up to 25.5... battery 2s/3s?

And onto the battery tray/holder/location etc... what are the dimensions of the battery tray/slot there... what is the largest (dimensionaly) battery that can fit. It looks to be about 40mm or so wide, 25 or so tall, length? Are those close?

I've been eyeballing this crawler for a while now waiting for it to release... Losi has always come out with innovative and competitve products, this looks to be the same... Can't wait!

So far I have ran both brushed and brushless in mine.

A Novak 55t/Mamba Max on 3S worked fairly well, had good runtime, but didn't have a ton of wheelspeed. It was about even with a Novak 55t on 2S in an axial rig. Not bad, but not really fast.

I'm currently running a Losi Xcelrorin 21.5 on 3S, and its great. Plenty of wheelspeed, and 20-35 minutes of runtime on a 1350mah pack depending on how I drive. I know some of the other guys have tested 25.5-35.5 systems, so maybe they can chime in on how they like them. I have a 25.5 that I will be testing, but so far it will be hard to be the 21.5.

As far as battery, I've been running 1350 Losi 3S 20C packs. They're roughly 70x42x20 mm.

It looks like a packs up to roughly 95mm long and/or 50mm wide will fit with some slight modification to the tray. At that point, you would be giving up some CG to rigs with lighter packs though.

Thanks for that info! really helps for planning things out. I'm still undecided on brushed vs. brushless. I don't want to give up anything going either route, wheelspeed and low end etc... I'll have to make that decision based on more info as it gets closer to release...

It would be cool to hear the others chime in as well, the more info the better :)

And of course more video/pictures!

Thanks!

ok so im 13 and want one of these during the summer is when i would get it my only issue is money so i would like to know the cheapes but good set up as in a good 2.4ghz system and a brushless motor and i was thinking nimh packs because thats all ive ever used i might make a cutom pack with about 4 cells up front and 2 or 3 in t he back(by the way this is my will be my second crawler ive have the losi mrc for about 3 weeks and it is awsome)

Ok so this is the set up i will use unless some one else changes my thinking for a moter i would use the losi system17.5 or there new 21.5 and are they coming out with a 25 turn. also the novak goat is a option its also cheper by about 30 bucks. for a servo i will use the jr one with 370 oz of i thinks there making a new one with 400oz if they do ill get it now for radios i would love the dx3r but man like 340 bucks for a radio thats more than the kit so my next option would be there lower quality dx3s i think it is correct me if im worng but even that is 250 bucks:-( so after that is there lowest quality 3 chanel shich is still a beter radio than any this i own(i have 2 stock losi radios and orld am and a am that came with a boat also the 2.4 system that comes with the mrc) so this is an option because it is only 170 bucks but i could get the dx5i wich is 100 bucks of does the dx3 have more options and all you need on a comp rig is there chanels thanks guy if you dont think that this post is not for this tread then pm me the answer thanks agian

keep rocking"thumbsup"
