Losi 1/10th Roller

Hey Rich - which tires will the crawler be shipped with - the old Rock claws or the new Comp Rock Claws - it would be sweet to have the new ones. Thanks again for keeping us all informed of the progress.

Today I had the pleasure of watching Del-monte run the Losi at or Comp here in beautiful St. George Ut... that thing is awesome:shock::shock: I myself run a Berg and I too will now own a Losi roller it is a super smooth rig with absolutely no torque twist... that thing will go anywhere you point it... I am impressed with the dig setup it is flawless and Del-monte knows how to show off its capabilities"thumbsup""thumbsup"

Was gonna pre order one what would be a good motor esc lipo setup for the truck?

I'm glad I pre ordered mine.
I'm gonna run a Tekin FX-R esc with a 35t motor. I'll use the Losi 3s Lipo for a battery. It doesn't have enough room for anything bigger but thats okay. The losi battery is only about 45 bucks.

Motor/esc for losi comp

Hey Rich,

Just wanted to know what motor/esc you have to run with the comp crawler? Can you run a tekin fxr/45T combo or do you have to run a brushless set-up?

Cheers,

Mike

A 45T might be a little to slow on the wheel speed unless you are using a 3s lipo.

I have been playing with several combos, some are test motors right now with our proto Xcelorin ESC
1. 25.5 motor with 3S
2. 21.5 with 3S
3. Novak Goat 18.5 with 2S lipo.

All work very good.

How come it keeps getting pushed back?

I know the old saying " you cant rush perfection" but can we get a reason why?

I own a berg or 3 , but I have already told my LHS to get mine. This will be a nice rig to keep in the stable incase the berg breaks.

The main reason was getting the worms right.
Again, trust me I can't wait to get this out and move on with my life LOL

So Del Monte came out to our comp down in St. George with his losi...And let me tell you this rig is so sweet....I was hesitant and first but this thing really hung in there. There were 75 contestants and he took 9th. So where i do agree he beat out several bergs in this comp 8 of them however beat him...This rig is by far the best out of box competitor i have seen to date. And will be tough to beat.

And i will have to say Jake is one of the nicest guys around. I saw him answering questions for everyone all day even while he was competing he managed to answer questions. Not to mention every time he drove 10 cameras were going watching his every move...Talk about pressure!!!

So Props to Losi for a good looking product and More Props to Jake(Del Monte) for being so cool and making the Rig look so cool....

Just wait until you get the 21.5 brushless in there... it has PLENTY of wheelspeed

The 21.5 did look good in it, especially for a shafty. Generally speaking it's hard to get that extra wheel speed with out losing the low end control but it looked balanced well.

I wish a Losi driver would have been at the Midwest Challenge.

Red Rock > Indoor

Also, this thread needs some color. Here's some shots i got of Jake running his losi. That Bradley Fine Designs paint job is some of the best paint work i have ever seen, however my point and shoot does horrible at capturing it.

Holy smokes you guys sure have smooth rock

I'm pretty stoked, I will have 3 sets of tires to run on the comp, stock ones, carvers, and the grabbers if I need some more diff clearance. I wonder how the worms will handle big tires with lots of weight? Or will lots of weight be needed?
