I didn't see it mention anywhere yet (browsing 35 pages of this)
Is there a slipper clutch built in?
If there is, where is it located?

Thanks for the update Rich, I am one of the many who are eagerly anticipating the release.
Just curious as to how many, not that I am worried at all, of the new crawlers are going to be competing at Midwest next week. Thanks again!
What he said - thanks for keeping us updated - as is everyone, I am most anxious to get mine - had it ordered since Dec.5th. and have all the elec's sitting in a box. I, for one will gladly wait for a great product!!!
Trust me guys, there is nobody who want's this out more than me..well ok maybe my bosses. The good news is that we did finalize the worms gears and they are working awesome. Jake Wright "Del Monte" and Jay Robinette "Rubbaneck" have been running and testing their Comp Crawlers quite a bit.
We are still looking at Mid to late May but I will know more from the vendors producing our gears next week.
In the mean time we are going to be shooting a new video next week and hope to have it up on the Losi site shortly there after.
I know that some are getting frustrated etc. with the delays, but I/we want to make sure this Crawler will be what we want it to be when it get's in your hands.
Thanks again,
Rich
btw The worm final drive is 25:1 and but don't forget that we have a gear box that affects the overall final drive. I will post a gear chart soon.
Also that puller motor will not fit (too long)
Heres your answer on that question. Looks like if you are used to a 55t then stepping up to a 45t should get you the same wheel speed "thumbsup"Seriously though I have one question about the gear ratio, will this work with lathe motors and not be a turtle?
Bummer indeed...
On the plus side, I ran the Comp Crawler completely stock with no weight in the wheels last night at RCP crawlers FNF indoor comp and I pulled a tie for 2nd. The suspension is dialed, and the rig is working awesome.
Here's the setup I'm running so far just to give you guys some ideas
ESC: Mamba Max
Motor: Novak 55t
Steering Servo: Hitec 7955
Dig Servo: Losi Mini servo
Suspension: Completely Stock 8)
Battery: 3S 20C Losi Lipo
The wheelspeed is a little slower then an Axial with the MM/55t combo, but its enough for most courses. I will be trying some more motor/ESC combos this week to give you guys some more info.

there is pretty much no way you can get them yet as the truck itself isn't even released yet. not till may bro. maybe not long after that. maybe rc4wd will have their worm gear axle ready before may. my losi has been preordered for about 4 months already. just gonna wait longer for it. it's gonna be worth it. can't wait already.
It stuck like glue around that off camber turn/climb. And the dig system was so easy to use without slipping backward like every other rig.I can attest to the new Losi Crawler. Jay was able to make some very nice lines that many shafties couldn't do. Zero torque twist as well. That in particular was nice to see on the finals course on that tight uphill right turn. You all will be really impressed - it is a very stable and predictable rig. The dual dig worked very well too.
I can't wait now, I thought the speed I had was decent until Rich said there is more to be had. We'll have these popping wheelies and doing donuts real soon. :lol:Nice run Jay!
Just wait until you get the 21.5 brushless in there... it has PLENTY of wheelspeed
Is it May yet???????????????????????????????????????
