Losi 1/10th Roller

May,..... Mid may. WTF I was told by my LHS that they would be on his shelves late March. Man this like traxxas all over again with there release dates. Bummer I was saving every tip $$ I get in a jar and am so Jonesin' to get me a Losi 1/10ther to add to the family.Oh well I should be used to it by now.CYA.

What would you rather have? A product on time but a piece of crap, or a product that is KICKASS but a little late?

I am more than willing to wait for a killer rig. But this is the fourth time the due date gets pushed back.First it was before xmas. Then the new year. Then mid Feb.Then onto mid march. Now it is May. I am Jonesin'.:) But hey I know it is worth the wait. I just don't want to burn a hole in my pocket just to find in stores 2 days after I spend the $$$. CYA.

6 months is not a little late... A month, maybe two is a little late... I really want the Losi as well, but if it gets pushed back again I am going to change my prepay to a Berg. It should not have been announced that soon if there was that big of an issue.

Hey Rich, the spot you did on Rcnet was great. You sure did get us all worked up over the new rig, any chance you could slip us all another “teaser” ;-) video to hold us all over until its released?…PLEASE….

I'm not freaking out about it, I even paid for mine nearly 2 months ago! I'd rather wait and have them get everyting right than have problems and have to get parts to make it like they should have released, especially if I have to pay money for those too than to go back and keep fixing the damn thing over and over because some things weren't done right first"thumbsup"

Look at the below post, it's from the first page of this thread and should explain why it's taking so long.

Opps...looks like someone hit the wrong button on the website LOL.
Unfortunately I can't discuss any details yet but you guys will know more in the next day or two.
Trust me I'd love to share the details, but until I get the ok, myself and the Team guys will have to stay quiet.
Thanks,

Rich

All I know is if one little thing breaks I'm going to be really disappointed. I'm really excited about this one though. I tell you all the hype that was built up, in my opinion, intentionally losi has a high bar set for them and if the date is pushed back again people are going to dump their orders. Hopefully this will all be worth it. I wish the best of luck to losi!!

i c0uld amagine that al0t 0f pe0ple already have dumped there 0rders.. The first pe0ple that pre 0rdered last year

Several people at a few LHS have indeed dumped their orders and are really pi$$ed. I'm holding out and hoping for the best.....literally.

Come on Guys! Have some Losi Love!!

What a bunch of whiners!! Losi has pushed back the date to insure YOU get the best product Losi could bring to YOU!!! They have spent countless hours with their testers to make sure everything was right!! I'm very sure it was not an easy decision to push the date back again. The very least you could do is support losi's decision and praise their dedication to YOU!!!! This is a hobby after all, so getting pissed and canceling Pre-Orders shows just how unappreciative you hobbists are!! You guys should be ashamed of yourselves!! I for one am willing to wait however long it takes to get everything right. I mean geeze think about it, What other company is willing to sacrifice sales to be sure the product is the best it can be and for approx $250!!! This is a great product for a great price!! I applaude Losi in their efforts!!

Ok Rant over!! It stinks Losi pushed the release date back again!! Sure glad they found this problem before releasing it and having US fix it!!

Thank you to Rich Trujillo and the rest of the Losi team!!
You guys rock!!

RC Hobbyist died out with the introduction of RTRs.

Release dates are always best case scenerios, anyone who expected the Losi to be out quickly clearly did not read the information that Rich provided.

People need to respect that the Losi needs to be right for most people straight out of the box. This is not easy to do.

I look forward to the Losi being available, whenever that happens.

Thanks Losi.

I know why, and I understand, I've read every post in this thread. I also paid for mine the first day we were able to pre order from RPP (Thanks Again Corey). Hopefully the issue will be resolved and the Comp will be out before May "thumbsup"

You are correct, I've been in manufacturing for 25 years so I know all to well the best case scenario thing. Like I said above hopefully it will be released before May, because I really want one 8)

I have been waiting for over a year to build my first 2.2 rig ( I am a Super guy my self). I am glad Losi is making sure this rig is good on the first run. I got to see one that a tester was running. This is the 2.2 I have been waiting for. It looks like every detail was considered in this crawler. I do almost wish it was a kit and not put together. I like the building part. Something about small screws, washers, incomplete instruction, and the element of suprise seems to calm me down;-). Thanks Losi for the great job on this rig.

Trust me guys, there is nobody who want's this out more than me..well ok maybe my bosses :). The good news is that we did finalize the worms gears and they are working awesome. Jake Wright "Del Monte" and Jay Robinette "Rubbaneck" have been running and testing their Comp Crawlers quite a bit.
We are still looking at Mid to late May but I will know more from the vendors producing our gears next week.
In the mean time we are going to be shooting a new video next week and hope to have it up on the Losi site shortly there after.
I know that some are getting frustrated etc. with the delays, but I/we want to make sure this Crawler will be what we want it to be when it get's in your hands.

Thanks again,
Rich

btw The worm final drive is 25:1 and but don't forget that we have a gear box that affects the overall final drive. I will post a gear chart soon.

Also that puller motor will not fit (too long)

Thanks for the update Rich, I am one of the many who are eagerly anticipating the release.

Just curious as to how many, not that I am worried at all, of the new crawlers are going to be competing at Midwest next week. Thanks again!

What he said - thanks for keeping us updated - as is everyone, I am most anxious to get mine - had it ordered since Dec.5th. and have all the elec's sitting in a box. I, for one will gladly wait for a great product!!!
