Losi 1/10th Roller

So how'd it go?

It went pretty well 8)
Low score on all 3 courses, including two perfect runs.

The suspension worked fantastic. The courses (one in particular) were pretty tough, but the rig didn't have any troubles anywhere. I was able to work the steering and rear dig to slide around one cone that was costing a lot of people points. I think after that run, a lot of guys realized what rear dig can do for a comp rig

I ran all 3 courses on one Lipo, and the rig was still pulling strong after a lot of bashing after the comp. I did have a CV pin slide out on me after 10 or so full throttle attempts on a big wall, but I didn't locktight them on reassembly, so that one is probably my fault  User error aside, the rig peformed flawlessly.

Next stop: 801RCC's Shamrock Showdown in St. George, Utah

Things to know - There is no smoking/alcohol parking in the lot is $10.00 you can park on Ocean at Helitrope for free and just walk down the steps. If you are a smoker like me I can show you where to smoke at per the officer that almost cited me.

No smoking outside even? it must be california

I'm a non-smoker and I find that offensive

I'm not sure where Rich finished with the other 2.2 Losi, but it looked like he was doing well too
Great job Jake! Keep it up Rich, you'll get the hang of this real soon. "thumbsup"

I ran mine for a few practice run's this weekend at our swap meet comp. This rig works so well with the rear dig navigating through gates, also straightening out the rear before your next climb. It's so effortless to switch from front to rear dig on a split second without a skip or jump from the transmission trying to get back into gear.

This will be a great crawler for the most experienced driver to the novice that's looking for that edge to the next level.

Sweet dude! That is what I wanted to hear! I've ordered mine and know this Losi will be the next big thing, the one to beat and the start of something new and exciting in the RC crawling world. I bet you are glad to be a part of it, I know I will be.

Any video of this action?

So who will sell them first?<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Is it quicker to pre-order from a Vendor or directly from Horizon?

Rubbaneck. Can you tell us what setups you have been running? Just curious. Thanks.

Front shocks all the out on the tower and at the highest position on the three hole adjustment bar (so the front end of the chassis is as low as it can go). Upper link in the lowest position on the chassis. Front spring collar has about a 1/2" of thread exposed on the top.

Rear shocks all the way out on the tower and in the middle hole on the adjustment bar. Upper link is mounted on the top hole on the chassis. Rear spring collars are both about 3/4" to 7/8" down from the top of the threads.

Stock out of the box, oil 30wt and pistons #56 red. No weight in the tires as of yet. This week I'll be going to our local comp so I might change a few things by then.

I'll keep everyone posted as to what I've been testing.

I'm running an almost identical setup to Jay's, except I'm running my front upper links in the highest hole in the chassis. I've also added 6oz. to each front tire, and 2oz. to each rear.

As for electronics, I'm running Losi's 21.5 Xcelorin brushless system on a 3s lipo. The wheelspeed and torque is great, its just a bit slower then my TLT running a Novak Goat and geared 18/87

Hey guys, I did a thread serch and come up with nothing for this question. Does anybody have the tranny and full axle part numbers yet? Searched everywhere and came up null. Wanna build it out of some custom stuff to be different.

Thanks

That is great guys, thanks. I'm going to run a 45t Holmes P-94 with a sidewinder and 3s lipo, so I am curious to see a brushed setup in the crawler to see how it performs, especially wheel speed with the worm drive. Thanks again, both of you, and good luck in your next comps, give those axials and bergs hell fellas.
