Losi 1/10th Roller

In alot of situations the front dig will not allow you to pull the front end up hill so you will use the rear dig to push your rear end down hill to get yourself lined up for the next gate. That is just a example of one situation it can be used

This makes no sence to me. I thought a front dig helps up hill?
Just say you were sidehilling on a grade that was very steep and you had a gate to go through 1 foot ahead and 2 feet to the left of your rig if you tried to front dig up hill it would either slide further down hill or the front right tire would get so much traction that it would try to pick up the front left tire but if you used rear dig the rear would naturally want to go to the lower terrain which in this situation the rear would go to the right and line you up for the gate

I think you're thinking of rear free wheel, which will help sometimes going uphill. Front dig locks the rear wheels allowing the front to pull the front end around in a much tighter radius - rear dig locks the front wheels allowing the rear to swing. Front dig is considered almost a requirement if you are going to be competitive - you will use front dig 10 to 1 over rear dig - but both are very nice to have. Enjoy your Losi - when ever you get it.

Front dig (rear tires locked, front's powered) allowes you to pivot the front around while the rear stays in place.

Rear dig ( front tires locked, rear's powered) alowes you to pivot the rear around while the front stays in place.

Here's a good example that Kamikaze posted.

he uses the front, and rear dig to basically drive sideways...

That Rocks thanks guys for making it clear. I came to the right place. Now if I can just get my hands on that Losi.

That is a great example of how to use front and rear dig.

So the question I am sure everyone wondering… when is the official release date of this crawler? I have been waiting very impatiently for the release of the rig and try not give into buying an Axial but I don’t know how much longer I can wait… I need a rig to put all these components into."thumbsup"

Is there any word on how durable the drivetrain will be? I'd like to run a 4 cell and 35t handwound but I know this combo even breaks Berg shafts on a regular basis.

Its been very durable so far. I'm currently running a LOSI 21.5 Brushless and 3S lipo, and I beat the rig heavily at KOH this week. with zero breakage 8)

I will be running it at Orange County's RC crawling comp tomorrow, we'll see how well it holds up in a full comp situation

How are you guys doing in the comps with these rigs so far and do you know what setups other Losi guys are running (all Losi products of course)? If you can't say too much that is OK I guess, just trying to get my setup ready for when it gets here in May. Thanks.
