Losi 1/10th Roller

Hey Rich,

I have a LRP quantum reverse esc that I think will work good with the losi. It has no reverse delay and can handle any motor from 16-36T. I was wondering if you think a 35T would be suitable or should I go with a 27T? I know you gave me some brushless combos but I'd like to just buy a new motor instead of having to buy a new brushless/esc. Any thoughts?

Cheers,

Mike

35T will be just fine. Plenty of wheel speed and torque. The 27T will be too fast and you wont have enough torque.

Well, I'm back from Utah and once again sunburned and covered in red dust...

The 2.2 Losi performed amazingly well all weekend. I finished in 9th place overall out of a field of 75 drivers, including the defending national champ and several other drivers who I would consider some of the best around. I had 3 perfect scores in 5 courses, but I made a few small mistakes on the last two courses that cost me a chance at the win.

It was great seeing the reaction of everyone while I was on course with the new rig. I don't think I've ever had so many cameras on me during a run  I'm pretty sure the Losi didn't disappoint either... I had zero mechanical failures for the weekend, and completed all 5 courses easily. What was even more impressive was the insane, follow-the-leader, freecrawling after the competition  I believe the Losi was the only shafty among 5 or 6 bergs pulling some pretty impossible lines... and the Losi handled all of them with ease.

But... enough talk, how about some video? 8)

Here's the "bragging rights" lines from the weekend.

I have a few more vids and a ton of pics, so I'll put up some more when I have time. I know there has to be a lot more out there though, so post up!

not bad
The more videos I see of this the more i am convinced i whoudl buy one
I own 2 bergs but this thing is impressive enough so far to have to own there is no doubt about that.

Hate to ask so early in the game but is there a outrunner that should work with this truck? I only have a mamba 25 to run.

Thanks

I asked about the Crawlmaster but have not heard back yet... I have a Mamba Max so hopefully all this stuff I run now will fit, or I may end up being single...

I don't have an outrunner to try, but if it will mount using a standard motor screw pattern and is no larger than a Novak Goat size brushless can, then you should be ok.
Hope this helps answer your question.

battery question

Maybe ive missed it, but how large is the space for the battery. Will a 2200 mah 3s lipo fit in there someplace?

Del Monte that is impressive
the sidehilling seems very nice
the vertical climb their for a shafty is astounding from what I can see in that pic.

I have a question for Rich.

Will Losi ever sell prepainted crawler bodies for the MRC or the 2.2 ?

Something like this:

I love the paint on that body and could never paint that nice.
